They drove home in a comforting silence, both minds whirling with a storm of thoughts. As Rocky carefully navigated his way back home, he couldn't help but feel a stabbing pain in his chest at the realisation.

For years all Rocky had was himself. Himself to fend for, to feed, to protect. But now, without him even realising, things had changed. It wasn't about money, power, reputation-none of it mattered anymore.

Not when he has 2 lives worth living for. He couldn't be selfish any longer, because he had 2 people who would be waiting for him at the beginning of each day, at the end of each night, after ever meal.

He realised like a punch in the chest that he didn't want any of it anymore. All he wanted was Reena and their little baby. Rocky glanced over, running a hand through Reena's hair as she slept.

They arrived at the house and Rocky was about to pick up Reena in his arms when she stirred awake, rubbing her eyes.

"We're home, come you can sleep inside" Rocky whispered and picked up Reena in his arms, walking inside.

Before they could take a step inside, the grand doors of the palace flew open. Revathi and Rajendra stood at the entrance, their faces pale, eyes filled with shock and worry.

"Reena!" Revathi's voice cracked as she rushed forward. Rocky set Reena down gently and she held onto his hand in reassurance.

She grabbed her daughter's face, her hands trembling as she searched for signs of injury. "Are you alright? We heard-oh god, we heard about the accident from Khasim Bhai."

Rajendra, usually a man of quiet authority, stepped toward Rocky, his sharp gaze scanning him before softening slightly. "Son... what happened?"

Rocky exhaled slowly, guilt tightening his chest. These were the people he had once thought of as obstacles, as reminders of a world that demanded too much of him.

But now, as he stood before them with their daughter carrying his child, he saw them differently-not as adversaries, but as family.

"There was an accident," he admitted, his voice rough. "But we're okay." His arm instinctively wrapped around Reena's waist, holding her close. "I promise, she's okay."

Rajendra exhaled, nodding slowly. Reena looked up at Rocky, then down at her stomach, her eyes holding questions.

"Anyways, how come your here?" Reena asked and Revathi sighed.

"We knew it was Rocky's birthday so we wanted to visit. But then when you weren't home Khasim bhai had just got a call that you were in an accident. My heart stopped for a second." Rajendra said and Reena winced.

With the weight of the events of today, she had totally forgot it was still Rocky's birthday. She looked up, giving him a sympathetic look but he just shook his head chuckling lightly, as if he could hear her thoughts.

Revathi looked at Rajendra, nudging him with her elbow and he cleared his throat, handing Rocky a small present. "Happy birthday son" they both cheered, gathering Rocky into a warm hug.

He stilled, shocked for a second. He never experienced paternal love before. His father was never there and his mother's touch was to distant to remember.

Reena smiled from the side, her hand unconsciously rubbing her stomach. They pulled away, walking inside and all settled on the couch. A few of the house staff and Chacha came to check on them, just to see if they were alright.

"So Reena, what gift did you get Rocky?" Chacha asked casually and Reena smiled, turning to Rocky who looked at her in admiration.

"Well i got him something irreplaceable, but it's going to take a few months too arrive." she said and Revathi gasped, her hands flying to her mouth, while Rajendra's usually composed expression cracked into something raw-something deeply emotional.
