Carisia

The London trip passed by in a blur. It was a fun refresher, and we got to see the sights, but it was time to get back. I will definitely come back in the future for a vacation because my time right now was mostly dedicated for work matters.

I noticed, Enrico has been showing affection towards me lately-- not explicitly though, pero ramdam ko.

I wonder why the sudden change of attitude towards me? Is it because of the baby?

Kaya ayaw kong malaman niya eh. Ayaw kong magbago lang ang trato niya sa'kin just because I'm carrying his child. It feels so artificial.

"Are you comfortable? You want extra pillows?" he asked while checking my side of the bed.

Yes, we took the private jet back to Manila. Hindi raw siya nakatulog sa business class on the way to London dahil maraming nakasakay kaya he ordered for his private jet to fetch us.

"I'm fine. Thank you," I murmured as I continued to read the menu on board.

To be honest, I'm not feeling the food here. I'm craving for something else.

"Enrico..."

"Yes?" He scooted next to me, and looked at the menu I was holding, as well.

"Do they have orange chicken on board? And salted egg?" I asked.

He pressed the intercom beside the bed, and in a matter of seconds, an attendant came knocking at the door.

"Come in," Enrico's firm voice occupied the silence of the room.

The door slid open, and we were greeted by one of the attendants.

"Yes, Sir Enrico? Ma'am Carisia? How can I help?" she politely asked.

Enrico looked at me and subtly gave me a nod as if telling me 'go, tell her what you want'.

"Is there orange chicken? Or can you make orange chicken?" I asked.

Her expression showed uncertainty which kinda let me down a bit.

"I'll consult po with the kitchen staff muna," she said.

"And salted egg sana?" I added.

She smiled and nodded her head. "Sure, Ma'am. I'll check," she then turned her gaze at Enrico. "Sir? Anything you'd like?"

Enrico shook his hand dismissively. "Just get her what she wants," he said.

"Alright po." She then bowed her head before leaving and sliding the door close.

Enrico was occupied reading a magazine so I don't think he noticed me, stealing quick glances at him.

The atmosphere between the two of us recently has been lighter than usual. Of course, he's still got that cold aura but as I've said, he's been weirdly affectionate lately.

"I scheduled a check up for you with your OB Gyne tomorrow para hindi ka masyadong jetlagged," he informed me.

"That was supposed to be next week pa," I countered, counting the days of my last check up in my head.

He slowly shook his head, his hand delicately turning the page of the magazine he's reading by its corner. "We can't take any chances especially when you told me the things you tried to do. I want to make sure that you and the baby are fine," he firmly said with a tone of authority embedded in his voice.

So, it was for the baby.

To keep myself from overthinking, I just pulled out my phone and scrolled through my socmeds.
