Carisia
No matter how hard I struggle, Samuel is much stronger than me.
I don't want Enrico to get hurt. I need him to be safe for Cassie in case anything should happen to me.
I wish you hadn't followed me here, Enrico. I know you'll do anything, even let yourself be killed just to save me, and I'm not okay with that!
"Man to man, is that right? Well then, let's keep the woman away," Samuel cackled maniacally as he tossed me to the side.
I wanted to scream in pain because of how hard I hit the floor.
Samuel's not doing this because he wants me back. He's doing this to get back at me, at us.
Enrico wanted to help me up, but Samuel was quick to point a knife at him.
"Let my wife go, and you'll be safe from the authorities' eyes. That's how far I'm willing to go, Samuel," Enrico proposed.
He's a prideful one, and what he said surprised me.
Is that how far he's willing to go for me?
Suddenly, I felt the knots on the ties on my wrists slightly loosening, making my heart pump faster in trepidation.
I have a chance to escape, if I could do this properly.
I need to do this properly.
Slowly, I dragged myself farther from the scene, trying to divert the attention away from me.
With all my might, I tried to untangle the knots, bit by bit, but with every pull, it gets progressively tighter.
My wrists are already feeling numb and sore, and so do my arms. It's getting strained from all the tugging.
With everything that's happening, all I could think about is Cassie.
Our daughter needs us.
I screamed in horror when I saw Enrico and Samuel fist-fighting, both of them taking hard and strong blows from each other.
"Tama na!!!!" I yelled from where I'm at, because I fear that Enrico might kill Samuel in anger.
It seems as if no amount of force could stop them from hurting each other, and seeing Enrico getting hurt is like pricking my chest with thousands of needles.
Little by little, I could feel my energy slipping away. I'm too tired to break free from the rope and too weak to scream anymore.
Everything went blurry, and the last scene I saw were other people barging in to the area where we were...
Then everything went black.

Lights...
White walls...
"Sh*t! Are you okay?"
Hearing his voice relieved the heck out of me. He's okay...
Oh goodness, he's okay.
I turned my head to the side and I found him, observing every corners of my face until his gaze landed on my eyes.
"Are you okay?" he asked in the softest tone I have ever heard from him.
Why are you asking me? It's you who I should be worried about! You were punching each other, for pete's sake!
The corner of his lips was wounded, bright red, and bruising.
