Enrico
"You smell so nice, my princess," my wife whispered while craddling our daughter in bed.
It's early in the morning and we're all sharing a slow routine today.
I've been watching them for the past few minutes, but she has no idea because I'm pretending to be caught up in laptop work.
Please tell what is the science behind me, feeling so fulfilled and warm just by seeing the two most important girls in my life be in front of me, enjoying a moment of purity and innocence?
Immediately, I was alarmed when our baby began whining, and my first instinct was to help Cari.
"Oh? Mommy's not going anywhere. Don't cry na," she said while carefully laying our daughter in bed.
One thing about Cassie is when she starts whining, she will continue to do so for about a few minutes, and we'll have to do everything that we can to calm her down.
I shut my laptop screen and I placed it on the glass table near me. "Need help?" I asked my wife as I walked closer.
Cari looked up at me, then pouted. "Can you carry her for a moment? Ayusin ko lang itong hihigaan niya," she requested so I stretched my arms so she can transfer Cassie to me.
The moment I began craddling Cassie, as if on cue, she calmed down, leaving my wife and I confused.
"Daddy's girl! She's a daddy's girl??" Cari asked, like she couldn't accept what just happened.
Amused with the situation, I couldn't help but laugh. "I just made her stop crying," I teased, making her pout.
I stared at Cassie, silently proud of her for being a Daddy's girl, but my heart is breaking seeing my wife look so down.
Ugh! I'm a boss, I never bow down to anyone...but Carisia...you're a different topic.
"Maybe she..." What reason can I tell her just so I won't have to see that frown on her face? It physically hurts me to see her like that.
"Maybe Cassie just wants to switch her carers? Smile na," I told her.
She was still frowning so I bent down and I planted a soft kiss on her forehead. "It's too early to know if she's a daddy's girl or a mommy's girl. And besides, it doesn't change anything, sweetheart. She's still ours," I explained.
"Okay...when Cassie sleeps, I want pasta," she requested like a little girl asking for candy.
Her eyes are twinkling, and I'd much rather see it that way.
I nodded. "Takeout or eat out?"
"Eat out," she grinned. "And I also need to buy some stuff."
Okay, we're going out for today. Little missy needs to unwind, and that means shopping.

As much as she wanted to bring Cassie along, I talked her out of it because I don't want our daughter exposed in public places that could potentially cause her harm in any way.
"Daddy, can you reach for that? " she asked while pointing at a pair of high heels placed on a shelf out of her reach.
Her term of endearment is driving me crazy, and the way she says it sounds so innocent and adorable.
I easily got a hold of the shoes she was pointing at, and she excitedly sat down on a soft cushion so she can try it out.
"Ako na," she volunteered while reaching for the pair.
I shook my head 'no' as I kneeled down. "I'll do it."
She giggled while I was holding her ankle, as if it's ticklong her. With the nude, enclosed high heels, I switched her platform sandals that she's currently wearing.
"I like it! Does it look good to you?" she asked.
As a proud husband of such a drop dead gorgeous woman, I nodded. "Everything looks good on you, darling," I uttered.
One of the store staff's approached us, holding a box of another pair that Cari requested earlier when we first came in.
"Ma'am, Sir, here is the limited edition from our 2024 collection. This is the only one in stock and it's in your size," the staff presented to us.
"That's the one I want, honey! They only have one in stock. I need to have it." I heard from a distance.
Cari's head craned around, probably to look for whoever said that.
I looked at the staff then I fished out my wallet from my pocket. "We'll pay for these now."
I cannot tell you how many times I've encountered these types of people who do everything just to get what they want. Baka maagawan pa ang asawa ko.
"Sure, Sir, Ma'am. This way po..." They led us to the cashier after I helped my wife wear her shoes back up.
Cari clung up on my arm and whispered, "Very good! You know how to shop now."
I smirked secretly. That's because of you, darling.
Pretty much, our day was just hopping from store to store, until we physically couldn't carry the bags anymore, so we had my men to carry the bags back to the car.

Carisia
Enrico knows just how to cheer me up, and props to him for knowing how to shop! Natututo na sa'kin!
Right now, we're looking for somewhere to eat because I'm craving for an afternoon snack, while Enrico's looking for an afternoon meal.
While walking, I suddenly had the urge to pee. "I just need to use the restroom before we eat," I informed while pulling on his arm.
"There, I think I saw a restroom sign there," he said while pointing to the left side.
Being a spoiled princess whenever I'm with him, I just let him lead the way for me. He's much better with directions than I am.
Once we reached the restrooms, I took my bag from him and I hurriedly walked through the long and dimly lit hallway.
I truly enjoyed our spontaneous day out. It's one of those days that deserve a spot in my core memories. Say whatever you want, but seeing my husband be as interested as I am in shopping, it feels so fulfilling! Plus the fact that he didn't let me spend a cent on those...ha! I don't even know the total. He just used his card again and again because when he says 'splurge', then he means 'splurge'!
After using the cubicle, I walked over to the mirror and I decided to retouch myself up. Just powder and lipstick.
Checked myself one last time before I walked out of the ladies' room.
Just as I was about to fully step out to the hallway, I noticed the shadow of a manly figure standing right outside, as if waiting for someone to come out of the ladies' room.
I thought it was Enrico, but I don't know why my chest began pounding, as if telling me that something's wrong.
No one was around, and I couldn't hear anybody outside so I stayed still in my position as I fished my phone out.
Ugh! No service!
Hmm..I mean, this place is heavily secured naman, right?
I'm not in danger, am I? Because my gut is telling me 'yes'.
"Cari, it's all in your head. You're just paranoid," I whispered to myself just so I can go now.
Took a deep breath as I tried composing myself.
Right as I stepped out, someone pulled my hand from the other side, causing me to scream, but that person was quick to cover my mouth and muffle my voice.
