Carisia

Dinner was supposed to be at my parent's place, but Enrico insisted it to be held at our residence.

I've spent almost half an hour in front of the vanity, mentally preparing myself for my parents' arrival. They have no idea about their grandchild, and as I've always said, I have no plans of letting them know, but with this dinner-- looks like I have no choice.

"Why aren't you dressed yet?" Enrico asked when he entered the room.

I pulled my hair tie and let my hair flow freely down my back with my eyes following him through the mirror. "I don't know what to wear," I told him.

He looked back at me, and our eyes met through the mirror. He then walked towards me, stopping just right behind me.

"It's our house. You can wear anything you like to dinner. No judgment, alright?" He kissed the top of my head before walking away.

It's only an hour before they're here so I got up and began rummaging in the closet for my outfit tonight.

With all of the choices possible, I came down to two options: a black, shirt dress and a comfortable but presentable house dress.

After weighing in both options, I ended up wearing the black, shirt dress with a white collar. It draws less attention to my body because of the color, so it's much better than the yellow, house dress.

Enrico is manning the kitchen staff from time to time which is why he keeps on leaving the room, giving me ample time to get ready in private, but at the same time, causing my anticipation to heighten.

I just wore my hair up in a messy bun because it's more convenient with my light make up.

Once I was ready, I made my way out of the room and I joined my husband down the kitchen.

The kitchen staff were busy setting up the tables and placing the dishes. "Good evening, Ma'am!" they greeted simultaneously.

"Good evening," I flashed a smile and gave them a little nod as I walked past.

I reached the kitchen, but found no signs of my husband.

One of our staff, probably noticing me looking for Enrico, approached and said, "Si sir po ba? Nasa garden, Ma'am."

I followed the staff's direction, and found my husband standing by the pool. I think he heard my footsteps because he immediately turned around.

His eyes weren't looking at my face...more like on my body. "That's beautiful," he said as I approached closer.

"What? My dress? This is old," I told him.

His arm swiftly snaked around my waist as he tilted his head down for a kiss. "That body of yours is what I'm talking about," he whispered in his deep voice.

I never thought I would say this ever in my life, but it seems like the butterflies in my stomach are going wild.

"Stop flattering me, or I'll truly believe that my swelling, bloated body is beautiful," I said while rolling my eyes at him.

"Who said it's not?" he asked.

I love that his clinginess appears when we're alone. He may look like the toughest man in the room, but he's a soft, huggable bear when we're together.

"Okay, fine, mister," I giggled.

We soaked in the silence and the fresh breeze out here in the garden while waiting for the guests. The ambience feels so nice, not to mention Enrico's soft and sweet embrace from behind.
