With the plastic of kamias that she requested, I walked in the bedroom where she's comfortably laying on the bed, waiting for me.
"Oh, finally!" she happily exclaimed when she saw me.
I placed the plastic bag on the table, and was about to leave because I'm in a hurry. There are meetings waiting for me at the office. Two of them are Cari's meeting that she's not able to attend because I told her to rest, and now, I'm the one suffering to attend all of it.
"Wait!" she spoke, stopping me on my tracks.
I looked back, clueless.
What is it this time?
"You bought this?" she asked while staring at the plastic bag, refusing to open it.
"Yes, I did," I lied through my teeth.
What? As if I still have time to go shopping at the market for just a plastic of kamias? That's why I hire people to work for me, so they can do those things.
"You, liar! You didn't buy that!" she accused me, causing me to walk back to her.
"I did, Carisia. What proof do you need?"
She crossed her arms, her brows furrowed and her lips crumpled into a pout, as she sat on the edge of the bed. "Whatever. I'm not eating that. You didn't buy that," she muttered.
This is ridiculous. How the hell does she know that I didn't buy those? Did she install a CCTV somewhere in my body?
You know what? Fine. I raised my hands in defeat, knowing that she won't stop nagging about it.
"Alright, fine, you got me. I didn't buy that, but that's because I was too busy with your meetings. Pwede namang iba ang bumili, it would taste the same," I explained to her.
She glared at me, probably indignant at the situation.
Of all the problems I need to face at the office, I'm stuck with this petty one.
"I didn't ask for you to take my meetings. That was my job. Your job was to buy my cravings, and you didn't oblige. Just go! Leave."
Are we seriously doing this? I didn't sign up for any of this.
My job is to make sure that she and our baby is safe and healthy. It's not in the description that I have to ditch my meetings over her cravings.
If she's not eating that, that's not my problem anymore. I already did my part.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have done for Carisia. I'm supposed to be preparing for a lunch meeting, but here I am at the market-- looking for her cravings even though she didn't push me to.
I am a multi-billion company owner, and yet, Carisia knows how to wrap me around her finger like I'm her servant.
"Sir, meron po sa kabilang stall. Dito po," my secretary said, leading me to a fruit stall just near from where we were standing earlier.
There was a variety of fruit selection in the stall we stopped on. To make sure that I won't hear any more complaints when I get home, I bought a kilo of each fruit that they're selling.
"Isang kilo sa lahat po, sir?" the vendor repeated, probably to confirm my request.
"Yes. Cash payment lang ba dito? Do you accept cards?" I asked while fishing out my wallet from my pocket.
"Ay, cash lang po, sir," the vendor answered, his lips twitched hesitantly.
Good thing I brought a handful of 1000 peso bills. I had a feeling that I won't be able to use my cards for transaction here.
After paying, I ordered my bodyguards to carry each one to the van waiting outside.
I sure hope that Cari won't have any complaints about this. I already sacrificed almost an hour of my day for this errand.

"What in the world have you done? Bakit ang dami? Kamias lang ang pinapabili ko?"
There really is no pleasing this woman.
"I bought those so I won't hear you complaining. I did that. Me. I bought it all." I made sure to emphasize the word 'I'.
She checked most of it, then she called Daisy, who was waiting by the door.
Carisia handed her the plastic of kamias, followed by an instruction. "Pakihugas ng seven pieces, then pakuha na rin ng salt for sawsawan."
"Sige po, Ma'am. Excuse me po," Daisy bowed her head before exiting the room.
I looked at Cari in confusion after what I just heard. "Seven pieces? I bought a kilo, and you're just having seven pieces?"
She raised her brows at me, a clear indication that she's still not over with her bratty attitude today.
"Who told you to buy a kilo?" she fired back at me.
I thought I've seen all of her attitude. Apparently, she's much more insufferable now that she's pregnant.
I ran my palm across my face, wondering why I'm in this exact situation. "Alright, if that's all, I'm going," I told her.
"Wait! Come here!"
Again...
What is it this time?
I'm about to lose it.
I took a deep breath to avoid lashing out at her. "What?" I asked in the calmest tone I could do at this moment.
She showed me a piece of the fruit that she's been craving, which I assume was from the plastic bag that she sent down to be washed.
"What am I gonna do with that? Wash it for you?"
She flashed a playful grin, something that I don't see very often. "No, come here."
I lazily walked over to her, and once we were face to face with each other, she cupped my face by the jaw, pushing both sides together so my mouth would open up.
I immediately resisted by breaking away from her grasp. "What are you doing?"
"Oh? Ito 'yung pinabili mo earlier. Try it! So you'll know why I'm upset," she chuckled.
"I'm not eating that!"
"I'm not negotiating with you. Open up!" she ordered like a queen towards a peasant.
In the end, she successfully got me to eat the fruit.
I kept on cursing because of how absurdly sour it was. Buong buo pa niyang isinubo sa'kin.
"One more?" she asked.
Naglalaway na ako sa sobrang asim ng pinanguya niya kaya agad akong lumayo at tinakpan ang bibig ko. This isn't funny!
"Carisia, that's enough. Do you even know how bad that tastes? I'm not eating another one. Ikaw ang nagpabili, you should be eating that," I scolded her because she probably thinks that this is a funny joke.
Damn it! The taste is stuck in my throat! It's sharply sour! Why does this fruit even exist?
Is this even a fruit? I feel like my taste buds are dying.
"Yes, I'm gonna eat the ones that YOU bought, pero the ones na pinabili mo, you'll be eating it. All of it."
I didn't sign up for this. I did NOT sign up for this.
