I'm in the middle of a meeting, but my mind is circling around the fact that Cari is mad at me this morning for not joining her during breakfast. I had to leave early for a meeting so I left before she even woke up. Now, all I have are her moody text messages.

I can't reply because I only viewed it right now while I'm watching a presentation.

If only my day wasn't jam-packed with meetings, I would probably still be in bed with her.

I tried keeping my focus on the presenter, but my mind is wandering off, thinking of ways to make it up to my wife.

Not gonna lie, but her messages are amusing me. She's unaware that she can be funny at times, and that makes me laugh. Especially now that her mood is literally swinging back and forth, it makes her a lot more funny when she gets mad over petty things.

Ugh! Now, I miss her. I can't wait to be done with these damn meetings and be home with my wife.

"Sir, you still have a 2 PM with Mr. Carlos, and a 5 PM with Ms. Saavedra," my secretary recounted as she stood in front of my desk with an Ipad resting on her arm.

I leaned back against my chair, fiddling by twisting it from left to right. "Reschedule that. Cancel everything from this time onward," I ordered.

She frantically took out her phone, looking unsure with her actions. "Sir? Uhm, sure po ba--"

I stared hard and cold at her so she can rethink her next words. In that short time frame of looking at her, I noticed how off her outfit is, for today. Her makeup is too vibrant, and her lips look like it's bleeding because of the shade that she used. Even her blouse is too open.

She then cut herself off, looking apologetic. "Sorry, sir. I'll resched that for you na po," she said.

Our conversation was over, but apparently, it doesn't look like it, for her. "Why are you still here?" I asked.

She forced a smile as she pulled herself up. "Sorry, Sir. Just call me po if you need anything," she said.

After she left, I worked on the remaining paper works on my table, hoping to finish them all before lunch.

My meeting with Mr. Carlos is just gonna be about finalization on our terms so I guess he can wait. As for Ms. Saavedra, she actually can talk to my representatives instead of me for the time being.

With the small pile of paperworks on my desk, time flew by as I got to each one of them. Before I got to the very last of it, I called the chef at home to list the dishes that I want cooked for lunch. My stomach is grumbling, and I'm sure my wife's stomach is, too, considering that there's two of them that needs to eat.
