Eight Months Later

I had a few business meetings out in L.A, so I decided to fly out with the family since I had to show them something they might like.

First off, I had to go meet up with my homies: Kevin, Tenion, and Shekinah. I contacted them and told them to meet me at the beach since I just had a meeting for an event I was in charge of there.

I sat under a hut and laid back until they arrived. A huge smile plastered on my face as I saw Tenion walking with a confused face. I stood up, shouting and waving at her to get her to look my way.

She did a few hair flips looking around to see who was calling her. She started to run towards me and I met her half way.

"Baby won't you come my way!" She shouted as she ran with her arms wide open.

I held onto my breasts as I smiled "Halfway there!..."

Then we met in a hug. She spun me around and I did the same to her when she put me down.

She looked at me in my dress "Girl, you gonna have to stop dropping pounds. That's what you get for leaving me out of your life for a year and a half. I tried contacting you in every way."

"Girl... I don't know what you seeing. I'm good like this. Where the rest of you at?" I chuckled.

She took my hand "They're buying food." She started bringing me towards the water then she sat.

"Everything okay?" I rubbed on her hand as I sat next to her.

She shook her head "I don't think I can have kids. Kev and I, we been trying for two years now and nothing. I know that's what he wants, and I don't want to hold him back from his dreams".

"T, look at me" she slowly turned her head as she wiped away a tear "Don't say that. You aren't holding him back from anything because he would have told you. It hurts to hear you talk like this."

"But what can I do Midnight?!" She shook her head with a smile.

I put my hand on her shoulder "Stop trying and stop thinking about having a baby. Expect the unexpected. You guys trying to hard and that's why somr women aren't getting fertilized. The stress itself will cause issues within you".

"I'll try not to try" she said in a sorrowful tune.

I got up and held out my hand "Stop trying and just have fun"

She took my hand and stood up "Alright" her eyes widened "You got conch?" She said walking towards Kevin.

He nodded with a smile "And the fries you like" he walked fast.

"Hey you" I said as he approached us.

"Hey Midnight" he hugged me then handed Tenion the plate.

I put my hands on my sides "What y'all been up to lately? Business good?"

"You already know. We gonna need some new shipment fast though cause products been getting out like magic"

I nodded "Word?"

"Yea and I'm sorry for what happened the last time. I just didn't want to hear or see you being hurt again" he sighed.

"Well..." I cleared my throat "I'm hard headed, so of course I got hurt again. I just want what I want, but I don't believe I can put up with bs if he brings more"
