So today I got a call from Midnight's friend Tenion. This is kind of a shocker because she and I weren't close to begin with, so I don't know how she actually ended up with my number. I answered her call, half asleep.

"Hello..." I said slowly as I yawned.

She cleared he throat "I'm sorry, but is this Qua' sean?"

I nodded and rubbed my eyes then laid back down.

She cleared her throat again and began to shout "Hello? Hello?"

Her loud voice had me jolt and take a good look at the phone. It was 9:54 a.m. "My bad, I'm just tired. Who's this?"

"This is Tenion, Midnight's best friend" she said as assuring as can be.

I got out of bed while stretching... "Oh, Midnight's not with me. Well we're not together anymore" I sighed.

"Oh yeah, I know that, but I wanted to talk to you, hoping we can meet up"

I looked at the phone confused. "Look, Tenion? Yeah, you're a pretty girl and all, but I'm not inte-"

"Ewwww no... Look I called to establish some serious issues with you. Its about Midnight. She's going through it again and by the way you're acting, I know that you don't know what I am speaking on"

"OK" I looked around the dark room "Can you tell me?"

"Yes I can... But I would like to meet up with you. I am not trying to hurt you or anything. Midnight did not send me to run any errands of violence. She's stopped that for her children. Now are you available today?"

I turned on the light and looked around my room for he unknown. "Yea, Yea. What did you have in mind?"

"Well we'll meet at the café that's next to city walk. And we'll speak from there on."

I chuckled "Look, I don't trust you, so I'm gonna bring my guy Julian with me. I can't deal with y'all insanity anymore."

"Do what you have to do,but I must deliver this message because if you do not know now, then it'll be too late and you may never see your kids again"

That just hit me hard. I almost broke down in pieces hearing that bull. Midnight always trying to pull these shenanigans and I don't appreciate it.

"I'm not letting that happen again so an hour before noon, city walk. Be there." I hung up and went out to the balcony. I was staying at one of my favorite hotels for a few days because I didn't want to deal with Monique and Midnight kicked me to the curb.

I still have the key, but I did not want to risk anything. I'd see the kids for a little while, but it wasn't as good as me being there everyday.

I put my things together and removed the things that I'd wear for the day. I took a shower, dried off and sat on the bed with the towel around my waist.

I grabbed my phone off the pillow and checked to see if I had any missed calls or messages from Midnight. Maybe she might want to tell me what's up before her friend does.

I tried calling her a few times, but she didn't answer. I called the house phone and finally, a response.

"Midnight, Tenion just called me about something dealing with you. Can we talk?" I said hurriedly.

"Mommy not here right now. Who speaking?"

I looked at my phone and smiled as I shook my head "Hey baby girl. Where's mommy?"
