Chapter 42- Go On Now

Pain's Worth It

★Middy★

---------

A few months, about two, passed by and I was off to better things with my babies.

We went on a vacation to Hawaii after discovering about Dove. I seen her around and made little conversation with her as she stayed in the corner. I never gave her money nor will I start now. I gave her food every now and then, but not when I'm with the kids.

I tried to talk to my sister Toni and get her out here, but she refused. I felt all alone out here and I just wanted to move back to Miami, but I can't stand my mom's yapping.

Also, I just moved in not to long ago and I really want to stop moving in and out of state.

Drool dripped down my eyes as I was thinking about my "lonesome". Quayon was nibbling on my forehead, getting my attention. Lyric was over on the ground playing with something.

I wiped my forehead and he got off of me smiling. "Girl what are you doing? Is that my purse?"

She put her head down as she pouted and nodded "Sorry". She had makeup all over her face.

I shook my head "Baby what are you doing? Why did you do that?"

She shrugged "Mommy, you do it".

I shook my head "Let's go clean up and get you guys to bed. Rapido presto" I carried Quay and Lyric ran up the stairs.

I ran the bath for them and checked the temperature. When it was good enough, I let them in.

"Mommy, I miss daddy" she said as she played with her rubber ducky.

Sighing, I looked down at her and didn't speak a word. I cupped my hands and poured some water on Quay's hair to prep for lathering.

She realized my face expression and just started to imagine her duck was building an underwater world with the bubbles.

After I washed Quay's hair, I went ahead and washed hers because its been about a month since I washed it and styled. She started to speak to me again with her eyes shut.

"Is gammy coming with daddy?" Her hands were causing the bath to wave.

My mind was roaming and I didn't want to answer that question. I can't force anyone to do something that they don't want to do especially when they're confused about what they actually want in life.

"Lyric, baby, I don't know about your dad. I don't know where he is or what he's up to, but remember you have Mommy and I love you and your brother" I massaged her scalp as I said so in a assuring tone, in a way.

"We love mommy, but we miss daddy" she tried to rinse the shampoo off her face.

Shaking my head, I thought of a way that would possibly stop the questioning.

"You want to talk to your dad?" I asked as I rinsed out her hair and face.

She screamed, so loudly that my ear drums could possibly be damaged. Quayon started to scream along with her so now I may need some medical assistance. I know he didn't know what was going on, but he smiled afterwards.

I took them out the bath, wrapping them in their towels and carrying them to their rooms, although they slept in mines.

I dried her hair and deep conditioned it then put on her pull ups and PJ. Quayon fell asleep while I deep conditioned Lyric's hair, so I put his things on afterwards.
