Taehyung sat on the couch, his legs spread out, and a bowl of chips clenched in his hand, crunching away like it was the most satisfying thing in the world. Every bite seemed louder than the last, as if he was trying to eat his frustration away. His jaw was set in a firm, angry line, and every now and then, he shot a glare at his best friend, who was lounging across from him, arms folded and expression unreadable.

"Seriously, man," Jimin said, leaning back, his face a mixture of confusion and mild annoyance. "What's going on? You've been chewing like you're attacking the snacks. Spit it out."

Taehyung didn't even look up. He popped another chip in his mouth, chewing with extra emphasis as he muttered, "I'm fine."

"Yeah, you don't look fine," Jimin replied, raising an eyebrow. "You look like you're about to punch something."

Taehyung shot him a glare but didn't offer any explanation. Instead, he just grabbed a handful of chips, threw them in his mouth, and glared at the TV as if somehow it was the source of all his problems. Jimin sighed heavily, his patience wearing thin. "You're killing me here, dude."

Still no response. Just more chips. The tension was as thick as the silence between them.

Taehyung sighed frustratingly and then turned towards Jimin as if ready to share his frustrations with his best friend. Jimin, when he saw Taehyung turning towards him and ready to open his mouth, sat up straight on his chair and sat attentively to listen to what his friend has to tell him and what got him this angry and frustrated.

Taehyung slammed the bowl of chips down onto the coffee table with a sharp clink, crumbs scattering everywhere. Jimin flinched at the sound but didn't move. The silence hung for a moment until he muttered, "You wanna know why I'm pissed?"

Jimin nodded, clearly expecting something dramatic.

"Because that bastard of a fiancée of mine," he continued, his voice seething with frustration, "had the audacity to tell his parents that I'm already seeing someone else. Already in a relationship with someone. Just to make me look like the bad guy in this entire engagement mess." He threw his hands up as if the absurdity of it all might somehow be solved by the gesture. "You know how embarrassed i was when his parents confronted me about this."

Jimin blinked, not sure whether to laugh or stare in disbelief. "Wait-he literally threw you under the bus like that?"

"Yep," Taehyung growled, sinking back into the couch, his hands rubbing his face in pure exasperation. "Made me the villain. Made me feel like a cheater who involves himself in affairs while being engaged to someone else. While he plays the innocent angel, all to get out of this stupid engagement." He took a deep breath, looking up at his friend with a weary, frustrated expression. "What his parents must be thinking about me, huh. Congrats to him for pulling that off."

Jimin leaned back, trying not to laugh. "I mean, I knew you both didn't want this marriage, but this... this takes it to a whole new level."

Taehyung shot him a glare. "Don't even joke about it."

Jimin raised his hands up in surrender and sink back in his chair. A few minutes went by in silence. Suddenly, a laughter erupted out of Jimin's throat, Taehyung looked at him with sharp eyes.

"Why are you laughing without any reasons. Have you finally gone mad, huh." His voice harsh, feeling more frustration creeping in his skin when Jimin didn't stop giggling.

"I-i.....I'm just thinking where he got this idea from, like from...... like from where he thought of such a thing." Jimin, who was finding it difficult to stop laughing, finally let out his words in between his giggles. Taehyung threw him a hard glare.
