The office buzzed with the usual morning energy—keyboards clicking, phones ringing, and employees exchanging greetings as they settled into their workstations.
Inside his private office, Jungkook sat behind his sleek desk, eyes focused on his laptop screen. His fingers moved swiftly over the keyboard as he reviewed reports and sent emails. A fresh cup of coffee sat beside him, untouched. He was back at work after skipping a day, but his mind wasn’t fully in it. Every now and then, his thoughts drifted—back to last night, back to Taehyung.
Just outside, at his usual desk, Taehyung sat stiffly, eyes flickering toward the hallway where Jungkook’s office is, every few minutes. His hands hovered over his laptop, but he wasn’t typing much. His mind was a mess. He wanted to go inside and check on Jungkook and ask if he was feeling better if his wound still hurt. But the thought of actually facing him made his heart race.
Wouldn’t it seem too desperate? Too obvious?
He tapped his fingers anxiously against the desk, trying to shake off the nerves, but it wasn’t working. The longer he sat there, the more restless he felt. He wanted to see Jungkook. But what if Jungkook was angry at him? What if he didn’t want to see him after what happened last night?
Sana, sitting at the desk in front of him, noticed his unease. "Tae, you okay? You’ve been zoning out a lot."
Taehyung blinked and quickly shook his head. "Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. Just… a little tired."
Sana raised an eyebrow but didn’t push further.
Letting out a deep sigh, Taehyung stared at his screen, pretending to focus on work. But deep inside, all he could think about was whether Jungkook was thinking about him too.

Jungkook walked down the hallway, his eyes scanning through the file in his hands. His brows furrowed in concentration as he read the report, paying little attention to his surroundings. He was so focused that he didn’t notice someone coming from the opposite direction.
Jeonghan, too, was lost in his phone, typing out a message while walking without looking ahead.
And then—bam.
The two collided. Jungkook’s shoulder hit Jeonghan’s side, and he stumbled slightly, his body jerking back. A sharp, stinging pain shot through his wounded shoulder, but he clenched his jaw, suppressing any sign of discomfort.
Jeonghan quickly regained his balance, his eyes widening when he saw Jungkook. “Oh, Jungkook! I’m so sorry. I wasn’t looking—” He immediately bowed in apology.
Jungkook shook his head, his lips curling into a small, reassuring smile. “No, it’s fine. I wasn’t paying attention either. It’s not just your fault.”
But Jeonghan, still feeling guilty, bowed once more. “Still, I should have been more careful.”
As he straightened up, his eyes fell on Jungkook’s shoulder, and his expression changed in an instant. His breath hitched. “You’re bleeding.”
Jungkook followed Jeonghan’s gaze and saw a faint string of blood seeping through his shirt, right where his wound was. He sighed, realizing the impact must have reopened the stitches slightly. Before he could say anything, Jeonghan swiftly grabbed his wrist.
“Come with me.”
Jungkook was about to protest, but Jeonghan didn’t give him a chance. He gently but firmly pulled Jungkook towards his office, pushing the door open and leading him inside.
