As the new day unfolded in the bustling office, Jungkook found himself walking down the corridor with Namjoon, the CFO of the company. They were engrossed in a conversation about the recent deal, the atmosphere professional and focused. However, their conversation came to a halt when they spotted Taehyung a few steps ahead, talking on the phone.
Taehyung seemed hesitant, his brows furrowed and his lips slightly pursed as he spoke in a low tone. A faint blush tinted his cheeks, and his demeanour screamed nervousness. Both men noticed it, and Namjoon raised an intrigued brow, though Jungkook remained unreadable.
The moment Taehyung ended the call and turned around, his eyes widened slightly in surprise at seeing them. Quickly recovering, he bowed respectfully and greeted Namjoon with a polite smile.
"Good morning, Mr. Kim," Taehyung said softly, his tone carrying his usual warmth.
Namjoon returned the smile. "Good morning, Taehyung. I must say, the presentation you gave yesterday was impressive. Well done!"
"Thank you, hyung," Taehyung replied with a small, bashful smile.
But Namjoon, always curious, couldn't resist asking, "By the way, who were you talking to? If you don't mind me asking, of course. You looked... quite flustered."
Taehyung's eyes darted nervously, and he hesitated before answering. "Oh, uh... it was Mr. Han. He called to... ask me about going for coffee with him. He was asking for my decision." His voice dropped to a quieter tone, and he looked down, clearly embarrassed.
Namjoon's eyes lit up in teasing delight. "Oh, so Mr. Han has taken a liking to our Taehyung, huh?" he teased, a playful grin tugging at his lips.
Taehyung's face flushed a deep pink as he waved his hands dismissively. "Hyung, it's not like that!" he protested, his voice slightly higher in pitch as he struggled to explain.
