The soft murmur of voices drifted from the living room, growing louder with the occasional burst of laughter or exclamation. In the adjoining room, Taehyung paced back and forth, his steps quick and uneven. His bare feet barely touched the plush carpet before he pivoted sharply to retrace his path, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. His brow was furrowed, and his lips moved soundlessly as if rehearsing arguments or searching for the perfect way to derail the ongoing discussion.

"I can't believe they're talking about venues already," he muttered under his breath, throwing a glance toward the doorway as though the voices might suddenly rise to include his name. "This isn't supposed to be happening—not like this."

Yeonjun sat slouched on the couch, one leg crossed over the other, watching him with a look that oscillated between irritation and disbelief. He drummed his fingers on the armrest, the rhythmic tapping standing out against the tension in the room.

"You know," he finally said, his tone dry, "your pacing is going to wear a trench on the floor. If you have a plan, spit it out already. If not, at least sit down before you drive me insane."

Taehyung stopped mid-step, his gaze snapping to Yeonjun, but the intensity of his glare didn’t faze him. He raised an eyebrow, challenging his unspoken protest.

"I’m trying to think!" He snapped, resuming his march with even more fervour. "This is my life we’re talking about. My wedding. Not theirs to plan!"

Yeonjun sighed, leaning his head back against the couch. "Yeah, I get that, but maybe you could think without doing laps? Or better yet, go in there and tell them yourself that you don't want this wedding. Crazy idea, I know."

Taehyung stopped again, this time chewing on his lip as he mulled over Yeonjun's words. His brother gave him a pointed look and gestured toward the living room with a flick of his wrist.

"Or you can just keep pacing until they pick a date and send out invites. Your call."

He groaned, running a hand through his hair in frustration, but the flicker of determination in his eyes hinted he was gearing up for action. Yeonjun smirked faintly, knowing he’d nudged him just enough.

Taehyung suddenly looked up with his head held high and broadened chest while a flicker of determination can be seen in his eyes.

"I'm going to tell them that I don't want this marriage. Yeah, you're right. I should do this now before they decide everything themsleves." Taehyung said in a determined tone while nodding his head in between.

"Yeah, fight for your right brother. You don't deserve to be tied down to a person you don't like. I'm with you. Go fighting." Yeonjun encouraged his brother and raised his fist up, giving him a fighting gesture. Taehyung nodded his head at his brother and then patted his own shoulder while mumbling,

"You got this, Tae. Fighting." After encouraging himself, Taehyung turned towards the door. His shoulders broad and head held high, but as he took a step forward, his posture slumped down, and a cry left his lips.

"Eomma will kill me if I did something in front of guests. She'll turn into the beast from beauty and will literally bury me alive, Yeon." Taehyung whined to his brother, who let out an irritated sigh after looking at his brother.

"What happened to your determination. Where's the courage you were showing just now." Yeonjun let out annoyed while looking at his brother with disbelief. Taehyung looked at his brother with an angry pout and sat on the bed with sulking expressions.
