The room was still silent, the weight of the kiss hanging in the air like an electric charge, both thrilling and terrifying. Taehyung, his heart pounding wildly in his chest, suddenly became acutely aware of what he had just done. His mind raced, guilt flooding in like a tidal wave, and before he could fully process it, his body reacted instinctively.

With wide, horrified eyes, he pulled away from Jungkook, pushing him back just enough to create space between them. His breath was shallow, panicked. His heart thudded erratically in his chest as he looked at Jungkook with a mixture of disbelief and regret. His fingers shook, still feeling the warmth of Jungkook’s skin lingering on his lips.

Jungkook, on the other hand, stood frozen, his confusion written all over his face. His lips were still tingling from the kiss, his mind racing to catch up with the whirlwind of emotions that had just crashed into him. His brows furrowed as he looked at Taehyung, trying to understand what had just happened, what this meant. But before he could open his mouth to speak, Taehyung was already turning away.

“I… I’m sorry,” Taehyung muttered under his breath, his voice barely audible as he quickly spun on his heel and hurried off the stage. He didn’t dare look back, didn’t dare face the questions that would undoubtedly follow. His feet carried him with an urgency that spoke of escape.

Jungkook, still stunned, didn’t move immediately. He stood there, on the stage, eyes wide, mouth slightly open, as he tried to comprehend what had just unfolded. The overwhelming silence in the room seemed to press in on him, making his thoughts swirl in confusion.

Jimin, who had been cheering for his friend just moments before, watched the scene unfold with a frown. Realizing what had just happened, his playful energy shifted to concern. Without a second thought, he pushed through the crowd and rushed toward the exit.

Behind him, Yeonjun followed, his face drawn with worry, eyes searching the room for his brother. It only took a few steps before both of them were outside, determined to find Taehyung and figure out what had caused this sudden flight from the scene.

But inside the hall, Jungkook was left alone on the stage, utterly lost. The sounds of the party seemed distant now, a muffled hum in his ears as he replayed the kiss in his mind, trying to make sense of it all. The world around him felt strange and out of focus, as though everything had shifted in a single heartbeat.

All he knew was that Taehyung’s lips had tasted like something he wasn’t ready to understand.

Taehyung stumbled away, his steps erratic as he muttered to himself, the words tumbling out in a frantic, breathless whisper. "What did I do? What did I do?" His voice was barely audible, choked with panic and self-doubt. The confusion in his mind was overwhelming, a storm of emotions swirling inside him that he couldn’t control. His hands trembled, and he felt as though the weight of what had just happened was crushing him. The kiss, the impulse, the fear—it was all too much.

Behind him, Jimin was calling his name, his voice cutting through the chaos in Taehyung’s mind, but Taehyung couldn’t hear him. He was lost in the mess of his own thoughts, replaying the kiss over and over, wondering why he had done it, why his body had acted in ways his mind couldn’t comprehend. He wasn’t ready for any of it. This wasn’t him, was it? He had pushed Jungkook away, but in the next moment, he kissed him. His heart clenched at the thought.

Jimin’s patience was wearing thin, but his concern outweighed everything else. He had to get through to Taehyung to help him see the truth of the situation before it destroyed him. With one swift movement, Jimin reached out and grabbed Taehyung by the shoulder, spinning him to face him.
