The car finally came to a stop in front of the towering gates of Jeon's mansion, its grandeur almost intimidating against the darkened sky. The sleek black car hummed softly as the engine powered down, and the air inside the vehicle was still thick with the unspoken tension from the drive.

Jungkook was the first to get out, his movements smooth but purposeful, as if he couldn't wait to be away from the suffocating silence. He walked around to the back of the car, opening the door for Mr. Kim, who stepped out with a deep sigh. His face was still hard, eyes sharp as he looked over at Taehyung without saying a word, his gaze colder than before.

Taehyung hesitated for a moment, his nerves getting the best of him before he slowly pushed the door open. He was acutely aware of his father's angry presence beside him, and the last thing he wanted was to be on the receiving end of another scolding. His feet dragged as he stepped out, avoiding his father's eyes and walking toward the large, imposing mansion with a heavy heart.

Mr. Jeon, who had remained quiet during the drive, stepped out of the car last, his expression unreadable. He gave Taehyung a brief, steady glance but said nothing as he closed the door behind him and adjusted his jacket. The four of them now stood together in front of the mansion, the tension lingering in the air like a storm waiting to break.

The mansion loomed ahead, its vast, imposing structure standing tall against the night sky. The front door was already open, the warm light spilling out, a stark contrast to the coldness that had settled between the men. Taehyung felt like he was walking into the lion's den, and every step toward the house felt heavier than the last.

The heavy wooden door creaked shut behind the four men as they stepped into the grand hallway of the Jeon mansion. The air was warm and fragrant with the smell of freshly brewed tea, a sharp contrast to the chill of the night. Mrs. Kim, who had been sitting on the couch in the living room, her eyes red and puffy from crying, looked up when she heard the sound of footsteps. Her gaze immediately locked onto her son, and without a moment's hesitation, she jumped to her feet.

Her voice trembled with relief as she rushed toward him, her arms opening wide. "Taehyung!" she cried, her voice cracking. She pulled him into an overwhelming, tight embrace, her tears falling freely as she buried her face in his chest. "Thank God you're safe," she whispered, her words muffled by the fabric of his clothes.

Taehyung, momentarily stunned by his mother's desperate affection, stood frozen for a moment before wrapping his arms around her. His throat tightened, and despite everything, a lump formed in his chest as he felt the weight of his mother's fear and relief. He hadn't realized how much he'd worried her until now, and his usual defiance faded into a quiet regret.

Behind them, Mrs. Jeon, Yeonjun, and Soobin stood by the doorway, watching the reunion unfold. Yeonjun let out a soft sigh of relief, a small but genuine smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I'm just glad you're okay, hyung," he muttered under his breath, though the tension in the room was still palpable.

Soobin, standing next to him, exhaled in a way that showed he too was relieved, but it was clear that the situation still felt uncomfortable. He gave Taehyung a small, reassuring smile before looking away, not wanting to intrude too much on the emotional moment between mother and son.

The atmosphere in the room was a mix of relief and residual tension. Mrs. Kim, still holding her son tightly, continued to sob softly, her body shaking with the aftershock of the fear she'd endured. Taehyung, feeling a strange mix of guilt and comfort, gently patted her back, whispering words he hadn't quite processed himself but knew she needed to hear.
