The Past or The Present?

Chapter 36

I woke up with a headache... Maybe because of overthinking about what happened last night.

I am now sitting at my kitchen counter while Tavin is preparing our breakfast. I felt his presence so I raise my head to look at him. He put his right hand on my forehead.

"Are you not feeling well? Hmm." I disagree and heave a deep breath.

"Care to tell me? Mi amour?" Then he sat down next to me. I cover my face with my hands and bow my head to the counter.

"Urgh... I don't know... bu-but it's about Vinn." I told to him with a depress voice.

"What about him? Is there something you want to tell me?" I looked at him and started talking.

Flashback

I'm past asleep when I felt my phone vibrating... I check the caller ID but the number is unknown, di ko na sana sasagutin pero may tumutulak sa akin na sagutin ito, I was thinking that maybe it was Rean but it's not and that person on the other line is the least that I could think of calling me during that time.

"Hu-who's this?"

"It's Vinn.." my eyes widen and I paused for a moment hoping that it is just a dream. I pinch my cheeks and I felt it... So one thing that is for sure I'm not dreaming this is happening right now! At para makasigurado ako sinabi ko ang nagiisang Vinn na kilala ko.

"Vinn Lorenzo Dy" praying that the person on the other line will deny the name I've mention.

"The one and only." I gasped and sat at my bed with a stammering voice I asked him.

"W-what do you w-want?" I can feel the panic on the other line...

"Oh no it's not what you think it is... ahm I call you... be-because ahm... because of Alex and Rean.. yes yes that is the only reason why I called you..." I didn't notice that I was smiling from ear to ear

"Ooowkaaay... so... what about them? If you're going to ask me about Rean's whereabout I really don't know where she is."

"Well I'm hoping that you have any idea about Rean's location, Alex bid goodbye and left me with a responsiblity..."

"And what kind of responsibility is that?" I asked him curious about what Alex told him.

"He want me to keep an eye to his girl... that's all."

"So... you do have an idea regarding their marriage?"

"Oh no... kagaya nyong lahat wala akong kaalam alam sa ginawa nilang pagpapakasal... I was also shocked... think of it we've been together for 7 years and sila pa yung naunang magpakasal at pumasok sa next stage na kahit tayong dalawa e natatakot pang pasukin... geez." I was stunned about his opinion,

"Hmm hearing that from you Vinn? Aren't you also a married man?" Yes curiosity hit me...

"Oh geez I'm sorry if I offended you I was just making a comparison... I'm sorry..."

"Nah... it's okay... So what do you need from me Mr. Dy?"

"Ahm can I have at least the contact number of Rean's Family?"

"Okay I'll send it to you... do you need anything else?"

"Ahm none... yun lang... by the way thank you."

"I hope it will help and ahm... can you give me an update regarding Rean's whereabout? If ever you already find out? I'm really worried about her condition... I've been in the worst so I know how it feels."
