Chapter 30

Vinn's POV
After 2 years

"Where are you???" I asked her as she just chuckled on the other line.

"Stay right there loverboy." She's annoying I must admit. She's like that ever since.

It's been years and I'm glad that we stayed like this. No hatred and complications.

I just felt a hands covering my eyes and based on the smell of her perfume it's Charlotte and on que little hands hold my index finger and I heard his voice "Da-da"

"Charlotte" I told her and I looked at her while she lift Lorenz and faced me.

"What took you so long? I cancelled my meeting for today because you told me that Lorenz had his tantrums." I asked her as Lorenz grab me to carry him.

"See. Ikaw ang gusto nyang kasama kaysa sa akin. Ewan ko ba kung ano ang pinakain mo dyan at ikaw ang laging hinahanap." Charlotte told me na may halong pagtatampo sa boses nya.

I just smiled at her and looked at Lorenz who's playing with my tie. We decided to go to a park dahil dito naman namin madalas ipasyal si Lorenz.

While were eating an Ice cream Charlotte started the conversation.

"I heard she's back... So, what's your plan?" I know, I already know that she's back.

"Bahala na siguro si destiny kung magcross man ang landas namin. Di ko kasi alam kung paano ko sya iaapproach. Matagal na ang 2 years? Baka nga mamaya may asawa na sya o kaya boyfriend?" Then I looked at Lorenz who's playing with his babysitter.

"You're thinking about Lorenz? Or the reaction of Fatima when she see Lorenz?" I nodded at her, kinakabahan ako sa kung ano man ang mangyayari sa pagkikita namin lalo na at alam nyang may anak ako kay Charlotte na syang isang pagkakamali.

Charlotte held my hand and smiled "She will understand" I just smiled at her then I heard Lorenz called me and showed me something. Sya lang talaga ang nagpapawala ng problema at pagod ko, siguro nga ganito ang pakiramdam ng mga daddy sa kanilang anak.

"Can he stay with me?" I asked Charlotte, she didn't look at me "Ano pa ba magagawa ko? Basta wag mo syang isasama sa kung saan-saan mo na meeting ha? Malilintikan ka talaga sa akin" I just laughed at her and raised my right hand "I promise."

It's been a long day at halata kay Lorenz ang sobrang pagkapagod nya. I told to his babysitter na magpahinga na mas gusto ko kasi na ako ang nag-aalaga kay Lorenz. Inihiga ko sya sa kama nya at kumuha ng mga gamit at damit para mapalitan ko sya.

After kong gawin lahat I caress his face, who would have thought that this kid change my whole life with just his touch.

[Flashback]
"Dude! Nakita ko talaga si Fatima kasama si Rean! Balita ko kasi umuuwi sila rito once every three months dahil nirereview pa din ni Fatima yung sales ng resto nila pero they won't stay long after 2 days umaalis na din sila! Ano pare pagkakataon mo na to!" Alex told me while were in the club,

"Kung after two days e umaalis na sila e di ibig sabihin ngayong araw din ang flight nila? E nung isang araw mo pa sila nakita e?" Ga-go din tong si Alex e hindi ako ininform kaagad.

"Pare e diba nagfafalse alarm yung panganganak ni Charlotte kaya hindi kita maistorbo!" Alex reasoned out, yes it's true month na ng panganganak ni Charlotte kaya every pain na nararamdaman nya e nasusugod ko agad sa hospital.

I sipped on my glass while Alex answered his phone call. I checked my phone dahil baka may emergency na naman kay Charlotte, sensitive ang pagbubuntis nya kaya mas gusto ko yung nabibigyan lunas ang needs nila ng bata.

"Vinn! Tara! May one hour pa tayo para mahabol yung flight nila! Tara na!!" At hinatak ako ni Alex, I can feel my hearbeat increase, ngayon ko nalang makikita ulit si Fatima and I missed her so damn much!

Nasa parking lot na kami at agad akong sumakay ng sasakyan ko. Nakita ko rin ang pagsakay ni Alex sa sasakyan nya. Pinaharurot ko kaagad ang sasakyan ko ng biglang mag-ring ang phone ko. Pagkakuha ko sa pocket ko ay nadulas ito sa pkamay ko at nalaglag sa gilid ko. I saw the name in the screen, it's from home baka importante kaya agad kong kinapa sa gilid ko then I just felt a strong impact from my right side and moment later my vision begun to blur then black.

Charlotte told me everything, that on the same day were both fighting for our lives. After giving birth she directly went to me, I've been in a coma for 6 months and was admitted at the ICU. When they found out that I'm responding to the treatment ay nilipat na nila ako sa private room. That was the time na nakaladalaw na sila Lorenz sa hospital. He was 8 months old way back then. They told me that it was a miracle when Lorenz held my finger and cried that was the time that my conscience came back, that's why I considered it a blessing from above.

When I was in a coma ang dami palang nangyari, simula sa bubuuin kong pamilya hanggang sa kompanya namin. Charlotte confess to me and I felt relieve at the same time dissapointed but I guess it is destined for our lives to meet Mark Lorenz Sy Velasquez, Yes it's true Lorenz is not my son. Nung una hindi din ako makapaniwala pero pinaDNA namin ang bata at hindi nagmatch sa akin kundi kay Mark Anthony Velasquez na matagal ng may gusto kay Charlotte. Sakto naman na nagcross ang landas nila while were in San Francisco and it happened.

Charlotte asked for my forgiveness, and yes I gave it to her she was just blinded with her love for me and I understand it. Lingid sa kaalaman nila ay pinahanap ko kaagad si Fatima sa Paris matapos kong maayos ang negosyo namin. Every month ay pumupunta ako sa kanya and I just watched her from afar.

She's studying patisserie in Paris and working part time in a bakeshop for four hours, she always visit to a public library and stayed there for hours, on her way home she usually order a cup of cappuccino with her headset on. I always watched her without her knowing it for three straight days every month and after that ay bumabalik ako dito sa Philippines with contentment and smiles on my face, not until that day when I saw her with someone... I make a move and went directly to them and that was the time that my heart broke into pieces.

"Leave.me.alone"

This time I won't make any move I will just let the destiny to do it for me.
