Chapter 24

After ng paguusap namin ni Chanz ay napapaisip ako na siguro nga panahon na para malaman nila...

We are having our dinner with Ate Charms, Anthony her husband and daughter Iris with Chanz and my family dito sa rest house namin.

They are laughing and sharing happy moments samantalang ako eto at lutang ang isip. Siniko ako ni Chanz na syang nagpabalik sa akin sa realidad.

"Do you remember that Fatima?" he asked me with a smile on his face at kahit hindi ko alam ang tinutukoy nya I just nodded then Ate Charms asked me.

"So Fatima, What was your reaction then?" I just smiled at her, hindi ko alam ang pinaguusapan nila. I looked at Chanz.

"Earth to Fatima? Are you really with us?" Chanz asked me, the smile on his face fade away.

"I'm sorry, I was just thinking about.. Hmm about..." then I looked at them, they were all looking at me then Iris speak.

"Tita Fatima is sad" while munching her food then she smiled at me.

"How did you know baby? Hmm. Tita Fatima is not sad." Ate Charms told her.

"No momma, she's sad, dada told me that when you look in the eyes of the person you will know if they are happy or not." she said while looking directly at me.

"It's okay tita... We love you" I just looked at her and said "I love you too Iris" then I smiled at her.

"Yey! Tita Fatima is happy there's a spark in her eyes!" then Iris clap her hands.

Mommy held my hand and whisper "We'll talk later." I just nodded.

The dinner ended peacefully, Kuya Elton tried to make the atmosphere as light as possible by his jokes. After that incident ay di narin kumibo si Chanz I don't know why. Siguro kakausapin ko nalang sya after namin magusap ni mommy.

I'm on my way to the library dahil dun daw kami maguusap ni mommy when I hear Chanz talking on his phone.

"She's not fine.. She's deeply hurt.. I tried yea... When will you be back?... Alright... I hope so... Yea... Thanks.. Bye.." then he make his way on my direction looking intently on his phone kaya di nya pa ako nakikita then nag-angat sya ng tingin. Shocked was written all over his face.

"Ka-kanina ka pa dyan?" he asked.

"Hmm... Sino yung kausap mo?" I asked him ignoring his question.

"Ahh.. Wala un... Si Kuya Tom.. Right si Kuya Tom lang. Kinakamusta tayo." May kakaiba sa pag-eexplain nya e but I just ignore it.

"Sige punta na ako kay mommy then we will talk later." I told him he just nodded.

Napapaisip talaga ako sa kausap ni Chanz... Pero baka nga si Kuya Tom lang un. Masyado lang akong napaparanoid.

I knocked on the door and heared mommy's voice "Come in."

Pagpasok ko ay nakita ko si Mommy na may binabasang libro. She gestured me to sit beside her.

I sat down and looked at her.

"Tell me Fatima, what's bothering you? Ang tagal kong nag-antay na kausapin mo ako pero di mo ginawa. After Vinn left our house ay nagkaganyan kana. Ano ba ang nangyari?" Mommy asked me.

I heave a deep breath and I felt a pain, remembering the time that Vinn left me. Sinabi ko kay mommy ang lahat from the time na nasa condo kami ni Vinn with Charlotte until sa pangyayari sa office ni Vinn.

"and then Charlotte told me that it's not about their company instead it's about our company and the proposal of Sanchez Group of Companies. I don't know how come she knew all.about these? Despite the fa-" then mom held my hands I looked at her.

"Fatima... I have to tell you something." I looked directly in her eyes.

"What mom?"

"Do you remember the proposal of.Sanchez?" I nodded "It's Chanz company" mom told me.

"I know..." I told her honestly.

"About that, Chanz talked to me and your dad. He explained everything to us. That's why before he confessed to you we already knew it. Then he proposed to us and asked for your hand. Alam naman namin na kayo ni Vinn at mahal mo sya pero alam din namin na matagal mo ring minahal si Chanz kaya kinausap namin sya na kung sya ang pipiliin mo papayag kami and It turned out na sya ang napili mo because Vinn broke up with you." Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi ni mommy.

"No mom! Nagkamali kayo ng hinala. I didn't chose him over Vinn. I just stayed beside him because I need to. Vinn knew about it right? That's why he broke up with me. He thought that I chose Chanz over him? Great! Just great." then I stand up

"I really need to talk to Vinn and explain everything." but mom stop me.

"Did you know where he is?" mom asked me.

"I- I don't" then I cried, mom stand up and hugged me.

"Hush.. Vinn told you that he will come back right? Just wait for him my dear. But first you should talk to Chanz." she caress my back.

We stayed there for hours ang dami kong nalaman. The Carribean restaurant is owned by the Sanchez and Chanz planned to take his surgery outside the country if ever na hindi ko sya puntahan nung araw na tinawagan ako ni Ate Charms. I really need to clarify things with Chanz.
