Setting: Havisham mansion back in England !!

"You're really choosing that color?" Estella asked as she watched Pip take some brown pearls out of the box of materials. "Why yes! It's the color of a coffee or a toffee, I see nothing wrong with that!" He chirped, getting started with looping the beads onto the string. Estella grumbled but let it be "Well, make sure it comes in a variety of shades. It must be nice for me to wear, boy." Pip didn't mind her tone of voice and simply nodded, taking out lighter shades of brown pearls. She hummed and continued her own bracelet, which mostly consisted of baby pink and white pearls.

The young girl was irritated with today already, and having to make bracelets with this boy was boring her to death. A very not-so fun activity he suggested, but there wasn't much else to do anyway. "How is this?" Estella turned her head to him, looking at the pearl bracelet he had just made. It had dark brown pearls, a light brown pearls that were a bit smaller, and even lighter pearls that were even smaller. The pattern it was set in was beautiful, and the bracelet was tight while being the perfect size. "Hm, It's pretty.." She did like the bracelet very much, it was something she'd possibly wear with any of her fancy dresses or even the simpler ones.

Pip grinned and gently grabbed her wrist, sliding the bracelet on "Pretty!" He practically squealed. Estella hummed in agreement, working back on her own bracelet. She took notice that he had been acting a bit younger than his usual self, something he did from time to time. It was really no issue with her, of course. "Boy, what do you think of this?" She asked, lifting up her bracelet for him to see. The bracelet had baby pink glass beads, miniature white pearls, and sky blue pearls "Cute!" Pip clapped his hands while he laughed softly. Estella had no time to put the bracelet on before Pip shoved the jewelry-making box right in front of her "Make me one?" He had asked with his usual soft and polite tone.

The girl sighed, but nodded in agreement "What colors?" She let out an exhaustive sigh and started cutting the string. "Hm..red, blue, purple!" Pip practically squealed while gently patting the counter with excitement. She nodded and got right to work "Alright..but keep quiet, you boy." He did so and kept as quiet as he possibly could. Estella was never really sure how to handle Pip when he was mentally younger than usual, but she did know the basic knowledge of how to talk to a child. She cut back on almost all of her insults, and kept her voice low and quiet at almost all times.

Whenever Pip was young like this, Pocket was usually the one who kept him company. Estella didn't really trust herself around him, knowing she had a big habit of being rude. "Done yet?" Pip asked. It had only been five minutes. "I just started, don't be inpatient." She scolded, making him whine. Pip lifted one of his legs and started kicking the table next to then "Stop that." Estella spat to him sternly, but Pip didn't budge and simply continued. "if you keep throwing a fit with me, I won't make you anything at all." He gasped and quickly stopped, grumbling to himself. Finally, she was able to complete the bracelet "It's done, boy." Estella grabbed his wrist and slipped the bracelet on.

Pip squealed and leaned to hug her. While she didn't return the hug, she did allow him to hug her "Thank you!" He giggled, squeezing her tightly. "Yes, no problem.."

Most people who read this book probably lost interest and shit but I might start posting regularly again
I got logged out of this acc and had no access for almost a year, and on top of that I've been in a horrible mental state for the majority of this year but that's my own fault 🥲
