Seungmin and Minho have been in a happy relationship for three years. They had met when Seungmin was in his final year of college and have been together ever since.

Like most relationships, they have their ups and downs, but they have always managed to work it out.

Whether it be Minho's short temper, Seungmin's constant worry, the jealousy every now and then. Whatever the world threw at them, they always found a way around the obstacle.

Although, Seungmin doubts that anything could have prepared him for what Minho had just told him.

"What did you say?" Seungmin asked, mouth agape as he stared at Minho. There was no way the older was not joking around with him.

"You heard me Seungmin, let's try being in an open relationship!" The man said with a smile, trying to convince Seungmin as he stared at him with pleading and convincing eyes.

"You have got to be kidding me Minho." Seungmin scoffed, "We've been together for what, three years and now you hit me with this? What the hell."

"Look, I know this may seem like an absurd idea, but trust me, it'll work out in both our favours!" Minho exclaimed, reaching out to grab Seungmin's hands, who just pulled them away.

"But... Why?" Seungmin asks, feeling hurt at the fact Minho would request for such. Was he not enough? Did Minho not find him appealing to the point he wanted to start seeing other people?

"Seungmin, I just- just consider it okay? For a while now I've been feeling suffocated in our relationship and thought that maybe trying something new would make things better for us." Minho says as he moves closer to Seungmin, guiding him to the couch from where they were standing by the kitchen.

Seungmin could only remain silent. He not only felt hurt, but Minho's words made him feel insecure. Like he was not enough, or was not doing enough for his boyfriend. He did not like the way this topic was making him feel.

"I-I don't think it's a good idea Min. If you have a problem with something in our relationship then we try our best fix it, like we always have. Not move on to having intimate relationships with different people." Seungmin finally voices his reservations.

"I believe that our love is strong enough to withstand the openness. Why don't you just think about it hmm? This would make me really happy, and I know you want my, our, happiness Seungmin." Minho said as he stretched out a hand to lightly rub at Seungmin's cheek.

Seungmin nods. "Yeah, I'll um... Think about it." He told, shooting a small, unconvinced smile at his boyfriend.

Eventually, after much persistence from Minho, Seungmin agrees to the open relationship.

He and Minho sat down and talked about things. They established their boundaries and rules to ensure both of their comforts.

Minho was ecstatic, even cooking Seungmin a gourmet dinner to show his gratitude and appreciation.

And as time passed, the arrangement worked for both of them. Both partners exploring new connections and experiences.

Things did not change much between them either, which Seungmin was glad for, but they ofcourse were not exactly as they were.
