For two hundred and twenty four years, Kim Seungmin has lived life peacefully as a vampire. He spent his days at his estate, drowning himself in his multitude of books. Even if he occasionally socialized with the vampire workers around the estate and his friends and family, it was still hard to get to him. He has always been one to keep to himself.

He was a young vampire, yet he was never whisked away by the desire for exploration, or anything that required him to live his home really.

Although, he has been tempted to do just that lately.

It was on a nightly run about five months ago when it happened. He had been walking the quiet streets when a man, a human, walked past him.

The person had been on his phone, laughing away as he spoke to whoever. His demeanor, his laugh, his smile, his everything. Kim Seungmin was smitten from the very moment he laid his eyes on him.

There was an attraction he felt towards the man. He just could not explain it but he found himself wanting to be with him always.

And so, releasing a sigh, Seungmin got up from his chair where he sat at his garden, looking at the stars. He went to change up his clothes, upting for casual yet something that would make the human look twice.

As he walked through the streets, he felt almost nervous. Which was a surprise for him. He had almost never felt this way. As a powerful vampire in a place predominantly populated by humans, there was not much to fear.

Taking a sigh, he pushed the door to the convenience store open, shooting a small smile at the cashier who had looked up at the sound of the door being opened.

He moved around the store, grabbing whatever human snacks he had come to like. After which heading to the counter to pay up.

"Hi Minho." He greeted, voice low yet could be heard clearly in the quiet night.

"Hey Seungmin." The person greeted back.

"How's the shift?" Seungmin asked as Minho continued to scan the items.

"Same'ol same'ol. I think I should get the manager to install a TV or something." Minho said as he laughed after.

That laugh. The laugh that made Seungmin fall for him. The laugh that made this vampire absolutely enamored with the human.

"Maybe you should." Seungmin lightly laughs, a smile remaining on his face after.

"Well here's your stuff, hope you come back soon." Minho said as he handed Seungmin his bag of goods.

"I will." Seungmin says back as he pays, his smile not faltering.

As Seungmin walked out the store, he turned back to Minho, shooting him a short wave of his hand. The man, who had been watching him leave, replied back with a smile and a more enthusiastic wave.

Minho... Seungmin did not know what it was about him that made him love the man as much as he did. And he did not care to point a finger to it. Minho was perfect, and Seungmin wanted to spend the rest of his days with him.

Right now, as he seems to be doing every shift day of Minho, Seungmin was walking to the convenience store.

He had mustered up whatever confidence he has and was going to ask Minho out tonight. He's been talking to the man for well over five months, and it has been eight since he first laid eyes on him.
