“Look what we have for you Lixxie!” Felix's parents cheerfully said before they pushed a fairly big sized box towards him.

It was the boy's seventeenth birthday and his parents were giving him his birthday present.

Once the boy opened the box, he was greeted with loud barks and wide puppy eyes staring up at him.

It was a golden retriever puppy.

“Thanks so much! What a cutie!” Felix squeals, picking up the small dog and cradling him in his hands.

“Does he have a name?” Felix asked, softly brushing the puppy's fur.

“Yeah, this little cutie's called Seungmin!” His dad said, smiling bright at his son.

“Oh hi Seungminnie! I'm Felix and I'm gonna take good care of you.” He baby talked the small creature, with the puppy looking up at him with shining eyes.

…

This is your new home Seungminnie! You'll be rooming with me.” Felix said as he let the puppy down on his bedroom floor, allowing the canine to explore.

As though the puppy understood him, he turned back and barked at him before running back to look around the room.

In the meantime, Felix started to set up the puppy's stuff, keeping his bed, toys, and other things in different corners of the room.

“This is gonna be so fun!” Felix yelled as he smiled at the puppy that was still running around the room.

“Are you hungry puppy? Felix asked, Seungmin running up to him and barking.

“It's almost as though you understood me.” Felix chuckled out, moving to the door to get him and his new friend some food.

…

“Minnie! I'm back!” Felix yells out as he enters the house. He had just come back from school, where he was a senior at the local highschool close to where he lived.

Just a few seconds after, he could hear the sound of paws hitting the tiled floor as Seungmin ran to him.

“Hi Minnie, did you miss me?” The boy asked, squatting down to pet the puppy's golden brown fur, with Seungmin barking cheerfully at him. Almost as if he were replying to the question.

“You're such a cutie Minnie.” Felix giggles as Seungmin continued to bark up at him, tongue out and eyes wide with excitement at seeing his owner and best friend.

“Oh Jisung's coming over later by the way, I know you don't like him that much but we have a project to work on, kayyy?” Felix softly smiled down at Seungmin, the dog's excitement dwindling after the human’s words.

“Jisung be careful with him!” Felix yelled at his friend, walking towards him to free Seungmin from the boy's clutches.

Much to Seungmin's displeasure, the second Felix's older friend had walked into the room and spotted him, he was picked up and repeatedly smooched by the boy.

Hugging the puppy closer to his chest, Jisung pouts exaggeratingly like a small child. “Why? I only wanna play with Minnie!”

“Well he clearly doesn't wanna play with you. You know he doesn't like you!” The dog owner yells at his friend.
