An eternal blaring alarm played over the streets of Vale as the grimm overran the city roaming freely. Every now and then, the occasional announcement tells civilians to run or the complete mobilisation of the Vale National Guard and any retired huntsmen in the area to help fend off the grimm threat The city was a complete battleground with everyone doing everything they could to save their home, criminals fighting side by side with police officers and Atlesian soldiers, police stations and anywhere with large amounts of weaponry opening their armouries for people to arm themselves and fight. In the bleakness of the current situation, everyone was united to work towards a common goal.

But there are those who would see this fall, specifically whom who had caused all this in the first place. Cinder was stoop atop a roof while Emerald filmed everything, all the destruction and carnage livestreamed for the world wide web to see and document for generations to come. All 3, including Mercury, who were lying on the roof side like a sunbather pressing a pack of ice on his head, stood atop a roof on the outskirts of Beacon Academy.

It's such a strategic location that Emerald could turn around with the scroll from 1 side and show Vale and then another 180 degrees and catch a view of Beacon Academy burning from the white fang attack. The livestream only worked to fuel the horror of people watching in other cities, bringing even more grimm to Vale.

On the campus grounds now, the mercernaries split up with Katya moving to the student dorms to grab her equipment sitting on team RWBY's dorm room while the other 4 move on their own to the staff dorms to grab their own gear respectively. All of them are sprinting, and when they enter the dorms still untouched thankfully by the grimm or white fang, they crash through the hallways like a bull in a China shop. There wasn't even time to unlock the door as Moron shoulder rams the door of their dorm room open, breaking it off by the hinges.

Instead of sideways, the door comes down horizontally, revealing their beloved dorm room filled with all sorts of personal belongings, including their equipment lying where they usually were. Strewn about everywhere randomly. Each member quickly ran to grab their respective equipment, recognising each piece by memory alone, having fought many battles with them.

"It feels so good wearing this all again!" Texas let out while fastening the strap of his helmet, having not worn his gear since the repairs at the Beacon armoury even then only wearing each item partially.

"We may not be back for days. Grab some food while you're at it. No perishables! Lots of ammunition, too!" Morn shouts opening the cabinets if the kitchen to reveal dozens of canned goods and MREs uneaten from Tarkov.

"Ammo here!" Akula comes out of the bedroom carrying 4 large ammo cans, 2 dangling on each hand, setting them down on the living room dining table. Each one was labelled one of their names with the inside being filled with extra loaded magazines for each of their weapons. Akula ran back into the room and grabbed a large wooden crate this time, its inside was partitioned into different compartments containing the various ammo types they'd need, only that these were all either loose or in stripper clips.

He set down the ammo crate next to the cans, and everyone descended on it, grabbing their respective ammunition and stuffing them into their bags as much as was practical. Once everyone was done, there was still plenty of ammo left, but they couldn't grab all of it as the weight would be too much for them. Akula already had trouble just walking from the bedroom to the table. He also threw a box full of stimulants after that as they only carried enough to fit in their stimulant cases.

After that, everyone moved to take the bare essentials of personal belongings. Well, everyone except Floridaman, who grabbed the duffel bag bomb, slinging it under his backpack. In the middle of packing several belongings, Texas got a call from Ozpin on his phone. He literally dropped what he was doing and answered, figuring it must be important in a time like this. In fact, it would probably be him begging for help.
