The explosion had sent all of them to the ground. Being the nearest ones the explosion they had created was akin to a wound to the depths of hell opening up. Clouds of dust choked the air like thick fog but there was no time to renumerate.
"F-fuck! We were supposed to make a fire!!!" Ruby scolded seeing the gaping hole now in the wall where the dumpster had once been.
"I think we put too many of those tanks in..." Moron lamented as panicked shouting in russian and footsteps could be heard inside the newly formed hole.
Despite the original plan being setting fire to the building this was also another way they could gain entry minus the fact that the scavs will be not distracted putting a massive blaze out and instead will be actively hunting them down.
"Here goes the hard part!" Moron calls out to everyone trying to rouse them for the battle ahead. A silhouette ran into the hole created by the explosion coughing and trying to fan dust away from his face.
From the ground Akula blasted the man with half a magazine before picking himself up too followed by the girls. All 5 persons rushed through the breach finding it lead into the service access into the back of stores.
"Did we even think about where we were gonna go?!" Ruby rationalised thinking immediately of the next course of action.
"We need to find Texas and Floridaman first!" Akula commanded scanning his immediate surroundings for any clue where they could be held. Thinking on his feet Moron quickly came up with a solution to their problem the quickest way he knew how to.
"Then capture one of them and kick the shit out of him until he tells us what we fucking want!"
Underground Texas and Floridaman were rushing to the entrance of the laboratory barging open the metal frame glass double doors while discussing how they were gonna inform the others they had escaped already and where to link up. He remembered the streets of Tarkov laboratory had a PA system that would blast announcements and information all throughout the laboratory so the chances this one which would have that feature too. Chances are this one has a similar feature and chances are as well its linked up to the mall's civilian one too.
"You think that second floor security thing has a PA system linked to the whole mall?"
"The one with the window overlooking the car park?" Floridaman confirmed.
"The streets one had a PA system. This one must have something like that linked up to the mall one too to help with cover stories."
"Fuck you might be onto something." Floridaman agreed and quickly turned to the stairs to reach the second floor followed by Texas. They exited into the second floor's walkway with several conference rooms at both ends. On their right was a metal door that most likely lead to where they needed to go while on the left was a ledge that lead to a view of the first floor, some sort of a curated modernistic garden. Trying to open it Texas found that it was locked shut and at the side was a keycard reader which was busted from several gunshots.
"God damn it!" He shouts in frustration out loud and moves to forcefully open the door instead via powerful kicks.
"Careful the door is wood so its slippery!" Floridaman warns looking around for any scavs that could spot or hear them try busting the door open.
Texas sent the first kick into the metal door, his boot making a dent into its exterior but not budging it from its hinges. The sound of metal crunching yet withstanding his blow echoing throughout the laboratory. He tries again, and again, and again. The dent becoming bigger and bigger but the hinges still upholding their duty. That was when several scavs came up from another flight of stairs at the end of the hallway from the first floor garden investigating what was the repeated banging about.
