Walking through the endless wooded dirt path felt like years for Ruby Rose, but eventually, the person leading her, Texas, stopped in his tracks. In front of the 2 of them was a gate situated between a large rock formation and concrete wall topped with barbed wire that reminded her of the shape of a chocolate bar including those little square pieces you could break off and share with others. It hadn't been a single day since she had gotten all dressed by Ragman for the occasion.

In terms of clothes, Ruby received high-end equipment from him, stuff sure to keep her alive and suitable for the environment rather than her combat skirt. Apparently, in reference to her red tipped black hair, Ragman selected a TAZ 83 jacket from a place called Switzerland. Her lower clothes however was simply just some brown tactical pants called the BEAR URON coyote. Thank god for male clothes being able to be worn by girls, too. The sizes were a complete 360 from the measured sizes for girl clothes, utilitarian, practical, and easy to understand.

For protective gear, she was issued a 5.11 Tactical TacTec plate carrier, whoever it was that had previously owned it really decked it out with much pouches making full use of every single loop. But since it was pre-owned, it was pretty obvious where damage had been sustained from gunfire or otherwise. Sewn holes in the fabric with different colours of thread all not matching the green original colour of the vest. Even duct tape held one of the straps together.

Her helmet at least was not used, a MTEK STRIKE Ballistic helmet coloured in a brown similar to her pants but not exactly the same. Like the saying went, same same but different. The most drastic change of all, though, was the hair, Texas acting on Ragman's advice cut her hair short, shorter than it was already to disguise her as a man. She even wore a balaclava to sell the deal so long as she didn't talk.

Ruby still missed the combat skirt, though, in her mind, such as perfection in terms of combat clothing. Alas Earth wasn't really caring about how things looked but rather the raw practicality of how things worked in war. On her back to hold much valuable loot LBT-1476A 3-Day Pack in woodland print.

She thought that he was going to do something to her, but instead, he really did stick to his word despite his greasy appearance. At least he was better than that weasel Skier. Everyone had decided to split off to do jobs so that they could raise money to survive, Weiss and Moron went on a mission while Floridaman, Akula and Neo went on another figuring they would need more support given her non verbal nature. Texas and Ruby took on a job from Skier himself, the shady inhabitant of the Tarkov port district primarily well known as a smuggler and general trader for items.

That man left a very big impression on the kind of people Ruby would be encountering. It was clear he was probably the most shady person Ruby had met in her life, reminding her of how Roman acted before his timely demise at the hands of a grimm.

"Alright, you remember what I taught you, right?" Texas looked to her, turning his back to face the gate and wall.

"Yeah... I think..." Ruby mutters, getting herself together. This was unlike anything Beacon Academy had trained her for, but she would make full use of whatever could be applied for the time ahead.

"It's okay. We have time now before the raid. Let's go over it." Texas said as he walked towards her to get nearer. He was doing his best to be patient, understanding the fact that she was practically forced into this whole ordeal by them for their collective survival driven by the chance to leave this hell.

"Are your guns checked? Are you all ready to go?" Ruby looked at her M4A1 in her hands, rotating the weapon and pulling on the bolt slightly, making sure there was a bullet actually in the chamber. It was upgraded using exclusively magpul parts by its previous owner except for the EoTech sight now on the top rather than the regular irons.
