"Do we have to go downstairs?" Virat asked.

"No, everyone went to sleep," Rohit replied.

"Okay."

"Want to have chocolate pastry? Last cheat meal before we get back to salads," Rohit said, and Virat got up immediately.

Rohit offered a bite, which Virat happily took, and he returned the favor.

"Love, you got chocolate here," Virat said, pointing to Rohit's lower lip.

Rohit tried to wipe it off, but it was still there. Virat was finding it hard to focus as he watched Rohit lick his lips.

Unable to resist, Virat leaned forward. Rohit could feel Virat's breath close to him, and Virat gently licked the chocolate away, making Rohit close his eyes in surprise and whisper his name.

Virat sat back and noticed how flushed Rohit looked from the interaction. Seeing Virat's smirk, Rohit pulled him onto his lap, holding him by the waist and planting soft kisses on his neck.

He unbuttoned the third button of Virat's shirt and trailed kisses from his neck to his chest. "Ro," Virat moaned, threading his fingers through Rohit's hair.

Rohit gently laid Virat down, gazed into his eyes, and kissed his forehead lovingly. "I'm going to miss you so much, baby," he said softly.

Virat switched their positions, ending up on top of Rohit. "I'm just a call away, love," Virat said, caressing Rohit's cheek. Rohit was starting to get emotional now, though he tried to hide it.

Rohit sighed. "Yeah, I know. I wish the Neha thing hadn't happened. We would've gotten the England tour and then another 15 days together—more time, you know," he said with regret.

"You know, Ro, it happened for a reason. I think it just strengthened our bond," Virat said, not wanting Rohit to sink into guilt.

"It made me love you even more," Virat added lovingly.

"Really?" Rohit asked.

"Yes," Virat said, kissing his forehead.

"Last night before we meet again in 5-6 days," Rohit said, and Virat hugged him tightly, burying his face in Rohit's chest.

"I love you, Ro," Virat said, cuddling close.

"I love you more, Vi," Rohit replied, stroking Virat's hair.

The next morning, when Rohit woke up, he saw Virat already awake and looking at him. He couldn't help but smile at the sight.

Checking the clock, he noticed it was still 6 a.m.—they still had some time before they needed to head downstairs.

Rohit suddenly remembered they would have to wait five days to meet again, and he wasn't sure if they'd get any alone time then.

Spreading his arms, Rohit invited Virat into a hug. Virat immediately snuggled into his chest, burying his face there.

Rohit kissed the top of Virat's head. "Morning, love," he greeted softly. "Morning," Virat replied.

"When did you wake up, Vi?" Rohit asked, concern evident in his voice.

"Two hours ago," Virat replied.

"And what were you doing all this time?" Rohit asked, curious.

"Looking at my favorite person, whom I'm not going to see or meet for five days straight," Virat mumbled.

"Shopping is canceled too, since we have to leave this evening," he added, hugging Rohit tighter.

"Hmm," Rohit hummed, not finding the right words to console Virat, as he was feeling the same.
