Rohit watched as Virat came down the stairs, freshly showered, wearing a white t-shirt and sweatpants. His hair was damp, and he looked effortlessly good. Rohit couldn't help but stare, his thoughts drifting.
"Go and freshen up, if you need anything, call me," Virat said as he walked into the kitchen.
I need you, he thought to himself, though he quickly tried to shake off the feeling.
"Ro, where are you lost? Go and take a shower," Virat said again, and Rohit finally went upstairs.
The room had a large window with a beautiful wooden frame, and a medium-sized bed that looked incredibly cozy.
Rohit smiled as he looked around, appreciating Virat's perfect choices.
He stepped into the shower, immediately surrounded by Virat's familiar scent that lingered in the bathroom. He breathed it in deeply, allowing the warm water to wash over him, feeling comforted and at ease.
Once Rohit came down, Virat couldn't help but stare at him.
Rohit looked effortlessly handsome in his casual attire— a black t-shirt and beige sweatpants. He found himself momentarily lost in the sight of him.
Virat had already lit the fireplace. Rohit took a seat beside him, and Virat handed him a cup of coffee, the steam rising gently from it.
"When did you plan this?" Rohit asked, glancing around at the neatly arranged kitchen and the cozy setup in the house, surprised by how everything was so thoughtfully planned.
"When you were ignoring me at the airport, sitting there all annoyed with a face that looked like a balloon," Virat said, taking a sip of his coffee, a playful smile on his face.
Rohit lightly swatted his hand away.
"Why didn't you tell me that you wanted to spend more time with me?" Virat asked, his tone suddenly more serious.
"I don't know, I was confused," Rohit said softly. "What if I don't figure out what we have? I wanted to understand it, and with you being away, it just seemed harder. I thought this week, away from everything, would be the perfect time. If not now, then when? We'll just get caught up in our schedules again."
"Ro, even if you don't figure it out in these five days, we still have time—our whole life," Virat said, holding his hand and gently caressing his knuckles. "I'll wait. Don't stress about it. Let's just enjoy and relax these five days, okay?"
"Why only five and not the whole week?" Rohit asked, placing their cups in the kitchen before walking back to Virat.
"So that I don't hear complaints from aunty," Virat said with a smile. "We have to visit them, right? So, I've booked tickets for Gurugram and Vizag on Saturday morning. We'll spend two days there and meet again on Monday evening. I've already told everyone that we're tied up with promotions, and Aman will cover for us."
"You are really cute, Vi," Rohit said, smiling as he playfully pulled Virat's cheeks, appreciating how Virat had thought of everything and everyone.
Virat smiled at the compliment, clearly pleased. "So what's the plan for today?" Rohit asked, eager to know what Virat had in mind for their time together.
"Today, just relax," Virat said, settling comfortably into the sofa. "It's almost evening, and I'm really tired from all the traveling and yesterday's match."
Rohit gently placed his hand around Virat, and Virat rested his head on Rohit's shoulder.
Virat pulled the blanket over them as he started the movie, but within ten minutes, Rohit noticed Virat had dozed off.
