Two days had already passed since the message, and since he had gone away.

Virat had just been thinking about where he went wrong. What part of the whole thing seemed like a mistake to Rohit?

He desperately wanted to believe this was all a lie, and he tried. That's why he was now curled up in the blanket they used to sleep in, still able to smell Rohit's scent in it.

On the first day, after finishing a whole bottle of whiskey, he drunk-dialed Rohit twice, but he didn't pick up. Virat just sat near the window the entire time, trying not to remember any of their moments together.

The second day was the opposite. He woke up with a hangover, craving Rohit's warmth, but it was nowhere to be found. So, he tried to lie on the sofa in the living room.

All he could hear were their laughter when they played games, or their breathing when they were close to each other.

Now, it was the next morning. Virat was lying in bed, awake for more than two nights. Whiskey helped him sleep a little, but it did nothing for his thoughts.

Every single second reminded him of Rohit.

Flashback,

"Ro yaar, I'm not talking to you. Watch your stupid series," Virat said, getting up from the couch where they had been cuddling.

Virat wanted Rohit's attention, but Rohit was so focused on the series that he barely noticed Virat.

Rohit grabbed his wrist and pulled him back into his arms.

"Attention chahiye?" Rohit asked, poking his nose, to which Virat nodded.

Rohit tickled him, making him laugh. "Ahh! Rohit, enough... bas!" Virat said while Rohit was on top of him, tickling him.

Rohit stopped, and they couldn't help but stare at each other. Rohit couldn't get enough of Virat's smiling face.

He leaned down and pressed soft kisses from his forehead to his cheeks and jawline, making Virat whisper his name.

Virat kept tugging him closer and closer.

"Bas itni attention ke aur du?" Rohit asked teasingly.

"Aur chahiye," Virat said, smiling at him.

"Acha ji," Rohit replied, and Virat just made him lie down, cuddling on top of him.

Flashback end.

"You made me laugh so much only to make me cry, Ro. Why, Ro, why?" Virat thought, tears slipping down his face.

You are the best, Vi!

I made a mistake!

You are so cute, yaar, Vi!

I made a mistake!

You have to wear a shirt always!

I stopped before we could cross any...

Virat buried his head in the pillow, trying to shut off his thoughts.

I know there's a reason for this. I know Rohit can never do this to me!

But it hurts... it hurts so much.

Flashback,

"Ro, what made you realize that you are in love with me?" Virat asked.

After the dancing, they were cuddled on the sofa, both too drunk to stand anymore. Virat was on top of Rohit, with his chin resting on Rohit's chest, looking up at him for an answer.
