Virat rested his head on the couch, thinking about what had gone so wrong for Rohit to be this sad and on edge. He did feel the silence during their phone conversations, but he never expected Rohit to lose his smile.

Had he failed to notice what Rohit was going through?

At 3 a.m., Rohit woke up abruptly, which woke Virat too. But before Virat could ask anything, Rohit rushed to the washroom and puked his dinner out.

Virat followed him and rubbed his back. Once he was done, Virat quickly took paper napkins and cleaned his face, which was sweaty due to exhaustion.

Virat helped him to stand, but Rohit's legs gave out. "Rohit?" Virat said worriedly as he held him immediately.

"Dizzy," he heard Rohit mumble.

Virat tried to support him, but his legs wouldn't cooperate. He picked him up, which made Rohit become a little aware. "Vi," he said, surprised by his actions.

Virat gently lay him on the bed and made him drink some water. He covered him properly and began to leave to prepare something that would help him.

There was a hold on his wrist. "Don't leave," he heard Rohit's weak voice.

"I'm not leaving, Ro, just getting something to drink that will help you. You will feel better," Virat said softly, kneeling near the bed and caressing his cheek.

"No, I don't need anything. Please," Rohit said with moist eyes.

Virat sat beside him, and Rohit immediately cuddled up to him, burying his face in his chest.

Virat hesitated a bit to pull him closer, but when Rohit moved closer to him, he wrapped his arms around him. He noticed Rohit was not sleeping, just keeping his eyes closed.

"Love?" Virat called, caressing his hair softly.

"Hmm?"

"When was the last time you had a whole meal properly?" he asked in a low voice, not wanting Rohit to feel uncomfortable in any way.

Rohit moved a little away from him and curled up on his own side of the bed. He didn't know what to answer Virat.

Virat cursed himself for rushing to ask the question. He couldn't do much, so he just patted Rohit's head, hoping he would sleep.

"I'm sorry, Ro, I won't ask anything, but just don't push me away from you," Virat tried to control his emotions, but he couldn't help himself as Rohit moved away from him for the second time. So, he just said it.

Rohit shut his eyes, listening to Virat. He turned and cuddled up to him again, not looking at him, as he just couldn't, without feeling guilty.

Virat kissed his head, wanting to give him comfort somehow.

The next morning, Virat woke up first and saw Rohit sleeping peacefully, cuddled up to him. He kept staring at him, wondering what could be bothering him. He was glad that, at least, Rohit could get some rest.

He carefully lay his head back on the pillow without disturbing Rohit's sleep, covered him properly, and kissed his forehead lovingly. Rohit curled up more in the comforter at the touch.

Virat got freshened up and made arrangements for breakfast. He kept it a light meal, keeping Rohit's health in mind.

Once done, Virat went upstairs to check on him. As he entered, he saw Rohit was still sleeping. He didn't have the heart to wake him up, but he knew he had to. He had to make sure Rohit had his meals on time, even if it meant small portions.
