They won the final match of the series, and the entire team was ready to head home. Everyone returned to their rooms to pack their luggage.

As Virat was taking clothes out of the cupboard, he noticed Rohit sitting on the couch.

"Didn't I ask you to get our bags and open them so we can pack?" Virat said, a hint of urgency in his voice as they were running slightly behind schedule.

"I don't want to go," Rohit said quietly.

The past few days with Virat had been nothing short of perfect. He wanted to stay, to explore and understand whatever it was they shared. Leaving meant going back to reality, which included facing Neha—something he wasn't ready for, at least not yet.

"You don't want to go home?" Virat asked, raising an eyebrow as he continued folding clothes.

Rohit shook his head, silently confirming.

Without saying much, Virat picked up the bags and opened them, starting to pack.

"And why don't you want to go home? We've been traveling for two weeks, and now we finally have a one-week break before heading to England for the next series," Virat said, placing his clothes neatly in the bag.

Rohit watched him, growing frustrated. Why can't he understand that I just want to be with him? he thought, annoyed as Virat continued packing without sparing him much attention.

Noticing Rohit's sulking expression, Virat raised an eyebrow. "Why the long face?" he asked, zipping up his own bag before moving to pack Rohit's, as he often did when they shared a room—ensuring nothing was forgotten knowing how Ro was.

"I don't want to go, Vi," Rohit whined again, his tone almost childlike.

Virat sighed as he heard Rohit's whining tone—it was clear how annoyed he was.

"At least come here and sit with me. You seem so eager to leave, judging by how fast you're packing," Rohit said, noticing that Virat had already packed half of his stuff.

"Ro, come on, we're running late. Mahi bhai just texted me—he needs us in the lobby in five minutes," Virat replied, glancing at his phone.

Rohit huffed in frustration, quickly stuffing the rest of his clothes into the bag. Without a word, he snatched the bag from Virat and stormed out of the room.

Virat sighed again, exasperated by Rohit's behavior. Shaking his head, he grabbed his own bag and followed Rohit to the lobby.

"What's wrong?" Jaddu asked Rohit as he took a seat beside him.

Virat sighed and shook his head, noticing how Rohit's childlike annoyance was now obvious to everyone.

"Cheeku, what did you do this time?" Mahi asked, raising an eyebrow as he observed Rohit's sulky expression.

"I didn't do anything, bhai, I swear," Virat said defensively, as all eyes turned to him.

"No, bhai! He's lying—it's his fault," Rohit complained, his tone making him sound even more like a frustrated child.

"You two sort this out soon, but for now, we need to get to the airport. We're all on different flights to our hometowns," Mahi said, his voice steady as he addressed the group. "I just want to wish you all a safe journey. Well played this series! Take some time to relax, and I'll see you all in two weeks."

The team cheered, and everyone exchanged hugs and goodbyes. When it was Virat's turn to hug Rohit, Rohit turned away abruptly, moving to Mahi instead and avoiding Virat entirely.

They landed in Mumbai, and throughout the flight, Rohit didn't say a word to Virat despite Virat's repeated attempts to start a conversation. Virat sighed in frustration at Rohit's continued annoyance but decided to let it go for now.

After landing, Virat hailed a taxi, loaded both of their luggage into it, and took his seat beside Rohit. It was routine for Virat to drop Rohit off first before heading to his own home in Mumbai. However, this time, the silence between them was heavier than usual, with Rohit refusing to talk.

When they finally reached the location, Virat paid the fare and began to get out of the taxi himself.

"Why are you getting down?" Rohit asked suddenly, his voice softer now. He wanted to hug Virat before they parted ways, knowing they wouldn't see each other for a week.

"Get down, and you'll see for yourself," Virat said, stepping out of the taxi. He pulled their luggage out and waved the driver off as Rohit hesitantly followed.

"Look," Virat said, gesturing ahead. Rohit lifted his gaze and was stunned to see a beautiful farmhouse surrounded by lush greenery. The calm and serene vibe of the place was a stark contrast to the bustling city they had just left.

Rohit blinked in surprise, realizing he hadn't even noticed the surroundings earlier, too consumed by thoughts of how much he'd miss Virat during the upcoming week.

"Where are we?" Rohit asked, clearly surprised.

Virat smiled, sensing the curiosity in his voice. "I could tell you didn't want to go, seeing your foul mood for the past four hours. You also mentioned wanting to spend time to understand things better, so here we are—away from everything, for the next five days."

Virat was about to say more, but before he could, Rohit pulled him into a tight hug.

"You are the best," Rohit said, his voice filled with happiness.

Virat hugged him back, a genuine smile on his face. Seeing Rohit so happy lifted his spirits, but deep inside, a fear lingered. What if, in these five days, Rohit realized he didn't feel the same way? What if he grew distant?

But he had to take this step. Virat couldn't let fear hold him back from doing what felt right, especially when it came to someone like Rohit.

"Chale ab?" Virat asked, a playful glint in his eyes. Rohit grinned widely, his excitement clear, and they both headed inside.

Rohit was mesmerized by the beauty of the farmhouse, taking in the lush greenery surrounding them.

Virat, on the other hand, couldn't help but smile as he watched Rohit's face light up with happiness. It was a sight that made everything worth it for him.

It was a small cottage, cozy with a single room, a kitchen, and a spacious living room. The large windows provided a breathtaking view of the outdoors, with raindrops softly tapping against the glass. The comfiest sofa awaited them, perfect for lying back and enjoying the peaceful scenery.

"Exactly where are we? Mumbai isn't this chilly," Rohit asked, his curiosity piqued as they set their luggage in the room of the farmhouse.

"It's on the outskirts, you should have figured it out if you weren't so annoyed with me," Virat chuckled, recalling Rohit's frustrated expression earlier. He made his way into the living room.

"What should I do? You looked so eager to pack and leave me," Rohit pouted.

Virat pulled his cheeks, "Now we are here, smile", he said softly to which Rohit hugged him again.
