"No more tears, Vi," Rohit said softly, to which Virat hugged him tightly. This caused Rohit to lie on the sofa, with Virat on top of him, his face buried in his neck and Rohit's hands on Virat's waist.
Virat nuzzled into his neck, which sent shivers down Rohit's spine and made him tighten his hands around Virat's waist. Virat tangled his legs with Rohit's.
What is this? What is this feeling? Having Virat close to me, wanting to take away all his pain and tears, Rohit thought.
"Vi, should we go upstairs?" Rohit asked, to which Virat shook his head. "I'm too lightheaded and too comfortable," he whispered, feeling the buzz from the wine they had.
"We had too much wine," Rohit said, noticing the bottle was almost empty. He felt it too, though a little less than Virat.
"Vi, you can be comfortable upstairs too. Come on now," Rohit said, breaking the hug. He saw a cute, irritated pout on Virat's face.
Rohit gently dragged Virat into the room and made him lie down. He went to close the windows as it had gotten very cold.
"Rooo, where are you? Come here, na. I'm not comfortable without you, and you said 'comfortable,'" Virat whined, not even noticing that Rohit was in the room.
Rohit chuckled at that and took out one more blanket.
"Roo," Virat called out again.
Rohit sat beside him and gently took his hand. "I'm right here," he said.
"I'm still not comfortable," Virat replied, looking at Rohit and spreading his arms.
Rohit smiled and lay down. Virat pulled him into a tight embrace, wrapping his arms around Rohit's neck, burying his face in his chest, and finding space for his legs between Rohit's.
"Are you comfortable now?" Rohit asked, gently ruffling his hair.
"Definitely," Virat answered, moving from his chest to nestle his head against his neck.
"You're not uncomfortable, are you?" Virat asked, his words slightly slurred.
"No, Vi, please don't worry," Rohit replied, hugging him tightly in return.
You have no idea how comfortable I am, Rohit thought running his fingers through Virat's hair causing Virat to move closer.
Rohit wasn't uncomfortable, but for the first time, he felt a warmth he hadn't expected—Virat's closeness made him feel extremely hot.
Whether it was the wine buzz or something else, Rohit only knew one thing—he wanted Virat.
As Virat nuzzled his head into Rohit's neck, breathing in, Rohit let his emotions take over. He slid his hand under Virat's t-shirt, feeling his skin. Virat shivered at the cold touch.
"Ro!" Virat whispered, intensifying Rohit's feelings in that moment.
"Hmm, Vi, this..." Rohit murmured, closing his eyes as he held Virat close. He nuzzled his face into Virat's neck and pulled the comforter over them, both feeling the warmth of each other.
After a while, Rohit noticed Virat's steady breathing, signaling that he had fallen asleep. Rohit held him close, thinking about how perfect everything felt, how perfect Virat was, and eventually drifted off to sleep.
The next morning,
Rohit woke up and, sensing Virat was already awake from his breathing pattern, said, "Good morning, Vi."
"Morning," Virat replied lazily, still lying in the same position, not wanting to get up.
"Vi, don't you want to get up?" Rohit asked, noticing the sun rays starting to hit their faces.
