A/N The sixth day of Christmas gave me butterflies 🦋 also I couldn't pick a fan art so you are getting more than one. ✌🏻

The light breeze tickled my face, my eyes wide as I looked all around me, the branches above me rustled filling my ears with their sound while the creek bubbled and splashed it's water on the rocks that I knew were the perfect size to jump across, cicadas whirling in the orchestra that was nature but none was as beautiful as this. This one butterfly that perched on my nose filled my vision with blues and greens before it finally fluttered away again. I reached a hand after it but it didn't stop and I couldn't make it even if I wanted to.

“Kacchan, did you know that butterflies are beaten up while they're in their cocoons? The caterpillar builds the cocoon and then melts itself completely before it grows its new body and finally breaks out again to fly away. Their pain was all forgotten,” I whispered while chasing a nearby orange one only to hear Kacchan cough and when I looked at him he was rolling his eyes.

“Maybe you'll come out like the butterflies as a hero then?” I knew he was being mean but I couldn't help smiling at the thought.

“I would be okay with that,” I said in an almost silent voice.

“Deku, hurry up, we're missing the cicadas!” Kacchan called out and I ran after him with my own net, leaving the butterflies behind but something was weird. Kacchan was changing. He wasn't the boy holding a bug net anymore but instead a black middle school uniform.

“If you jump maybe you'll be lucky and get a quirk when you're reborn,” he laughed before tossing my things out the window laughing with his friends leaving me behind and then again something changed. Now I'm in a gray uniform, the UA highschool uniform. He was yelling at me, demanding to know how I was actually in this class. I don't…

My eyes popped open and I sat up to find the man sitting in the chair next to our bed holding our little Aiko while she nurses. She is only two months old now and her deep dark green hair was eye-catching even in the low light from the lamp across the room. Her bright red eyes that looked around the world with curiosity normally were closed now thanks to it being so late.

“Hmmm?” My eyes moved back to her mother, the one who gave birth to my beautiful angel even though he is a man thanks to a stray quirk he was hit with, without knowing it. “What's wrong Deku? Did I wake you up?” His voice was all groggy and raspy making it clear that he wasn't feeling great right now but I could feel my pounding heart slow down while he adjusted his hold only for Aiko to let go completely and he started burping her.

“It's okay my little princess, Papa has you,” he cooed softly, his voice still holding onto that dreamy raspy quality that normally made my heart skip a beat. The fact he is still refusing to be called Mama is kind of cute but he never once tried to take Dada or Daddy, those were mine.

“No, I just had a dream from when we were kids,” I finally answered now that I've caught my breath a little. The dream was just so life-like I couldn't tell it was a dream at all until things started changing and then my head just felt fuzzy. I really didn't know I was dreaming until I woke up.
