Joe was in an uber when his phone pinged. Looking down at it, he saw that it was a message from his dance partner, so he immediately opened it.
I hope you have a good day today. Sorry I couldnt be with you. I hope you have a lovely time none the less :)
Joe smiled before shooting back a quick reply.
Thanks janette. I'm gonna miss you. I love you lots partner.
The two of them, Joe and janette, had been the pairing Joe had been wishing for ever since he sighed those papers to say he was doing strictly come dancing. Janette had been the one who had initially done his trial and right from the moment they met, they had got on like brother and sister, so he had been glad when at the launch show, janette had been called out as his dance partner. They had done quite well, getting to the final but missed out on the win which was taken by Stacey and Kevin. Now the series was over and it was the new year, joe was getting ready to head out on the strictly tour which he was really excited about. One down side though, janette wasn't going to be there alongside him. Instead Joe had a new partner who he was going to be dancing with every night in arenas all up and down the country and rehersals with her started today.
Within minutes, janette answered back.
I'm gonna miss you 2. Don't worry though! Youre in safe hands. Diannes great, she'll look after you.
Joes new partner for the tour, was that of dianne buswell, who had spent the series dancing with his good friend Dr ranj. The pair had been eliminated before the half way mark and he had also turned down the opportunity to do the tour due to other work commitments. She and nadiya had been the only two pros free for him to dance with and with nadiya being quite abit taller, it was settled that dianne was going to be his new partner.

Joe rolled his eyes at janettes comment and smirked at her abruptness. For her, joes love life had always been something she innocently made fun of. It wasn't bullying nor did he find it hurtful, she just liked to often remind him that he had never had a girlfriend, which was something he had told her at the beginning of the series.
Thanks for the tip. I'm happy though, and aren't looking. She probs ain't either, she just got out a relationship, didn't she?
Joe asked her nervously. He didn't know what about it made him feel all giddy in an anxious sort of way, but it did. There was no denying dianne was beautiful, but she wasn't his type.
True, but so what? She's available. You'll get on well, please don't worry about anything.
Joe hadn't spent much time with dianne at all over the series. She had come to his launch show/birthday party but most of the pros had. They had had a few conversations, just when they came across eachother backstage or in the starbar, but they hadn't talked about anything except for their upcoming dances. Truth to be told, joe didn't know much about dianne at all, she seemed like a lovely person though and so he was excited to work with her.
"Is here good mate?"
Joe was knocked out of his day dream by the uber driver who had now pulled up outside the dance studio where he and dianne were having their first training session.
"Yeah, sorry, just anywhere around here"
He told him and once they had pulled up, he thanked the driver before grabbing his bags and going to find the rehersal room. Dianne had sent him a text the previous evening saying which number studio they were going to be in and what time she wanted to start. With that message open, he eventually found the place.
