I'm so sure I was made to love you like this
Positively convinced
That this moment, here with you
Is precisely what my Creator had in mind.

How could it not be?
When your face fits so snugly
Into the crook of my neck,
And your eager lips
Spread wild fire down my spine?

Look at me like that again,
Say those words.
Wrap around me like vines on an old stone wall,
And set my very soul alight.

You smile after each gentle kiss,
As if my skin was laced with joy and love.
Like you're drunk on the way I move,
The way my body melts into yours.
I feel every desire to absorb you,
To become this beautiful light you emit.

The way the ocean plays coy,
Gently grazing the soft shoreline sands,
Singing sweet of the sun and it's summer,
Making it so easy to forget what a riptide can do,
Using salty waves to comfort, heal and play.
Harboring the devastating power to drown.

Your hands flow over me with such fluidity,
Such power behind your choice to be soft.
There's no hesitation or doubt behind your eyes,
Intention and love overflowing in your gaze.
This is authentic, you're manning the wheel,
And, god, you know how to read my roadmap right.

Holding you close, feeling your heartbeat hasten,
Hours lost to a most invigorating, intimate dance.
Learning the ropes with you, taking a jump,
Finding out that blue and yellow mix to make green.
Kiss me with that glow lingering behind your eyes,
Wrap me up and let me down easy from that high.

Running my fingers through your hair,
Watching the sunlight as it falls on your face,
Framing every inch of you in golden light.
My heart somersaults at the sight of you,
At the golden green that flickers in your eyes,
And the sweet smile that decorates your face

Let there be more moments like this, I beg.
Hundreds of times, hundreds of smiles,
Let me commit to memory each and every atom.
Let the deep ocean swallow me whole,
May my final resting place be devoid of surface light,
And may I drown at your hands, my maritime love.
