113: Someday

Here we are sitting in a small cafe surrounded by couples that are enjoying their Valentine's Day, full of love, laughter and happiness.

"I mean it really wasn't a bad conversation but you know how he can get" I tell Quil.

"Yeah one word will send him spiraling down" He drinks his hot chocolate.

"Yeah" I look outside.

"I'm sorry.. this has gotten so out of hand there shouldn't have been sides"

"No it's okay I know it's mainly my fault and I can appreciate the loyalty" I smile and sip my hot chocolate.

"So there's something I've been meaning to tell you" He looks nervous, which made me smile. "I'm taking my cousin to the prom, but if you'll allow me I'd love to have you accompany me"

"Oh Quil that sounds like a lot of fun but you already told her you'd go with her, wouldn't she be upset or mad?" I ask worried for both of them.

"No no it's okay, don't you worry about anything" He caress my cheek. "I'll talk to her okay?"

"Okay" I nod, he smiles and reaches over to kiss me.

"This hot chocolate is so good" He says after he pulls away.

"Yeah this might be my new favorite spot" I laugh and take another sip.

"You want a muffin? Cookie? Cupcake or cake slice?"

"Maybe a cake slice?" I suggest.

"Any in particular?"

"Surprise me" I smile.

"Okay I'll be right back" he gets up and goes to the counter.

I close my eyes and enjoy this moment, my first valentines with a boyfriend. Not just any boyfriend, but the boyfriend I've wanted since I was a kid.

"I got us this one, it has caramel and like some kind of cookie crumbs.. it sounded really good and it looks even more delicious" He sits back down and sets the plate at the table.

"It smells incredible" I smile and pick up one of the spoons and try it. "Oh my god it tastes even better"

"I'm glad" He laughs at my excitement.

"So tell me, how are you classes?"

"They are pretty good honestly you know I've never really had much trouble with school but Embry skipping class and not hanging around has taken a small toll on my school life" He confesses to me.

I didn't know how to respond to this, I couldn't tell him why Embry was acting this way and it made me a bit nervous. I shift in my seat trying to find words.

"It's okay I'm not asking you or blaming you for anything, I know he's hanging around Sam and all of them.. I might not know the reason but I'm sure he has a good one" He looks at me and places his hand on top of mine.

"Someday you'll understand" I look at him in the eyes.

"Maybe"
