130: Personal Stalker

As he holds my wrist panic sets into my body. Why does this have to happen to me. A creepy smile appears and I couldn't help but make a disgusted face at him.

"Where have you been?" He asks me.

"Staying as far as I can from you" I try to pull my arm away but he just pulled me closer. "Let go Ben"

"Yeah I don't think so" He starts dragging me down the hall. "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this, i can't really park at your house you know, your dad's the sheriff but I've been lurking around"

"What are you doing?!" I pull back and dig my heels to the floor but im slipping. "Ben! Ben! Stop!" My eyes fill with tears.

"Shhh" he pulls me in front of him and covers my mouth. "Did you know at night your curtains are very much see through" He whispers in my ear as a tear goes down my throat.

"What are you doing?!" I hear a low growl voice coming from behind me. Ben got startled and let go of me but still held on to my wrist.

"Ben please" I whine but remember who I am. I electroshock him enough to let go, he let out a small yelp and Paul grabs me then pulls me behind him.

"Oh I'm guessing I should be scared huh?" Ben says sarcastically as he shakes his hand that must be in quite a good amount of pain, but Paul doesn't respond, he just takes a step forward.

"You think this is funny? I've killed people for less, but this?" He looks back at me, "hurting MY girlfriend" He laughs, Ben's face is visibly pale, ears red, eyes wide.

Edward, Alice and Jasper show up. Edward gets between Paul and him while Jasper grabs Ben and uses his gift to make him feel tired and droopy. Alice comes over and checks on me.

"Relax, I know what you want to do" Edward says to Paul.

"Get your leech hands off me"

"Paul" I say to his behavior, the cullens are just trying ot help.

"Are you okay?" She looks at my purple wrist.

"Just a bit shaken up" I can't keep my hands steady.

"Im taking her out of here" She wraps her arms around me, I look back but Paul is purely focused on Ben.

"What's going to happen?" I ask Alice as we step outside, and towards Paul's truck.

"Oh honey, your dog won't let that boy live" her eyes and brows furrow.

Just as those words were spoken, I see Edward, Jasper dragging Ben to the woods and Paul. Jasper goes in alone while the other two walk towards me.

"I should've gone in with you" Paul grabs me and presses me against his chest. "I was so careless"

"I'm okay, I promise it's fine"

"This is not fine, don't lie to me, who knows what that disgusting thing would do to you, I don't even want to think of the possibilities" He kicks the car next to us leaving a huge dent.

"Did he hurt you anywhere else?" Edward steps closer and takes a look at my face.

"No, I'm fine... I wasn't with him long enough"

"What was he saying to you" He continues to question me.

"Not much, like I said, I wasn't with him long enough"

"If you're going to lie to me at least do better at not thinking it" He sighs and walks over to Paul whispering probably my whole conversation. Paul's face changes as he tells Edward to meet him in the woods, along with other things I didn't get to hear. 

"Alice, take Y/n, she has a appointment to view a school"

"Wait what" I look at Paul.

"She'll take care of you.. I'll catch up" He pecks my forehead and leaves with Ed.

"Come on, you don't want to be late" She guides me to her car as I process this whole ordeal.

The whole ride was mainly quiet, at least on my end. Alice kept talking about the graduation party, telling me she was so happy her vision came true and that we'd all be graduating together. She made a stop to grab me a muffin with a ice tea, I ate slow, not really hungry. I kept checking on my phone to see if Paul had texted me or not.. so far, nothing. Alice stops in front of the Vet School and I sigh.

"I can come in with you?" Alice smiles.

"It's fine, will you be here when I'm done"

"Always" she places her hand on top of mine.

"Okay" I smile and get out of the car. I walk into the building and straight to the receptionist. "Good morning"

"Hi good morning, who are you here to see" she gives me a warm big smile.

"I have an appointment with the head of admissions, I think his name was Dr. Evan"

"Y/n Swan?"

"That's me" I smile.

"Perfect, take a seat he'll be with you in a few minutes" She points towards the nice sofas of the side.

"Thank you" I nod and walk over to the couch.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Evan" A tall white man with grey hair, green eyes and great posture stands in front.

"I'm Y/n" I stand and shake his hand. "A pleasure to meet you"

"The pleasure is mine" He smiles. "Lets take the tour shall we?"

"Yes!" I couldn't hide how excited I truly was, he lets out a chuckle. "Sorry"

"No need to apologize, you're just excited to learn! That's the attitude we are looking for"

He took me around the whole school, there were 4 classes that I got to see, I met a few of the teachers and a few furballs. Then he brought me back to the shelter/clinic, this is were they kept strays and offered free treatment to them, they even had a side for wild animals, he told me how people volunteer to this side of the building since its not a paying job. The dogs had an outside area to play around, people donate toys and blankets. Its honestly a wonderful place all around.

We walked back to his office and went over all the details, talked about schedules, fees, dress-code, etc.. He was very pleased to hear how dedicated I am to join this program in the fall.

"What prompt you to graduate this early?" He asks me across from his desk.

"I've been getting that question a lot today" I laugh and so does he. "I am the type of person that likes to take charge of their narrative, I would like to have my future right here. This would be a head start on my career, it's not just some summer job I'm thinking long term I know I'm young but I'm committed. This program would open the doors for so many new opportunities in a field I already adore so much"

"I love your answer, the can do attitude and if you graduate high school with good grades and good testing scores, I'll give you a scholarship, how does that sound" He stands and stretches his hand out.

"Oh my" I stand quickly, shaking his hand. "Yes, that sounds great! I promise I won't disappoint you!"

"I'll hold you to that"
