I've waited two hours after my dad got home for Paul, he was supposed to come over for dinner but didn't show up. My dad seems more upset than me, they were going to watch the game after dinner and he watched it all alone.
I just got off the phone with Quil and I told him Paul knows. He has happy I did it so fast and asked me to hangout that weekend, I told him I'd let him know since I had plans with Bella.

Bella and I are both studying in the kitchen, the silence is loud but I can tell there's something she wants to say.
"Is Jacob still coming over?" Dad asks Bella. She looks over at me and her cheeks flush.
"Jacob is coming?" I ask her.
"Y-yeah" She bites her lip nervously. "J-just for dinner that's all"
"That's fine, I have a date anyways.. today is valentines after all"
"Oh are you and Paul going out?" Dad asks.
"P-Paul and I-I? No!" I gather my books.
"What a shame, I really like Paul" Dad shakes his head and looks at me. "He's a hard worker too and can keep up a conversation"
"Well dad Paul has a girl plus I'm dating Quil" I grab my bag with all my books and go upstairs.
I put my bag on my desk and pick out an outfit. I look through all my clothes and get frustrated.. not because I don't have anything to wear but because I hate Paul for having such an impact on my life. There's a knock on my door.
"Come in" I continue to put an outfit together.
"I'm sorry about dad and I really hope Jake coming over is okay with you"
"Yeah it's fine bells, but a heads up would've been nice.. you know very well Jacob and I aren't on the best terms"
"I know I'm sorry I should've talked to you first, this is also your house"
"It's fine, I won't be here anyways so no worries" I smile and nod at her.
"Okay" she puts a strand of hair behind her ear and walks out.

I put my hair on a crown braid with a few loose stands and do some light make up. I'm almost done applying my mascara when I hear Jacob's voice downstairs followed by steps and a knock.
"Hi" Jacob says once I open the door.
"Hi" I step aside and let him into my room.
We both stare at each other and around the room. This has been the first time Jake and I have fallen into awkward silence.
"You look beautiful" he points at me.
"Oh thank you" I look down at myself and back up. "I'm going out with Quil"
"Yeah I heard" He rubs the back of his neck and walks towards my desk, picking up a picture of him and I when we were about 10.
"Back when we didn't have adult worldly cares" I let out a dry laugh.
"Listen" He says and places the photo back down. "I'm so sorry I was clouded by judgment and so much hatred that's I lost my best friend"
"I fully understand and I just wish you could give it a chance and see what I see I- I mean he's no-"
"There you go again with that, he's not the same! he's changed! bullshit!" He throws his hands around, his face gets red and scrunched.
"It's not bullshit! Embry has seen it and Quil is slowly moving towards the idea why can't you?!" My brows furrow.
"Le-" He takes a deep breath. "Let's just stop and agree to disagree, I don't know what kind of brainwashing Sam did to Embry and I understand Quil is trying because he loves you but don't push it"
"Fine" I look away.
"I love you" He steps closer and hugs me.
"I love you too" I wrap my arms around him.
"I'll see you around okay?" He kisses my forehead and starts walking out.
"I nod and watch him leave"
I sit on my bed and take a few breaths before putting some stuff in a small bag, I honk outside made me peek and I see Quil getting out of his car with a huge bouquet of flowers.
