I've been thinking about James's idea for days .It hasn't left my head for a minute.I mean if we do this would it actually work?Would people even belive it ?We do hate each other.But then again the best romance trope is enemies to lovers.

I sit at Sunny's after school ,a milshake in front of me waiting for me to drink it .But im to busy playing with my rings anxciously while waiting for James to arrive .I figured this would be the best place to annouce our "dating" news ,since the whole school goes here after school.
Im to busy staring out the window then finally notice two hands covering my eyes.
"Guess who?"-i regoncise James's cheery voice immedietly
"An asshole?"-i say as i turn around to face him.
"How very rude of you Jade !"-James puts his hand on his heart ,offended.
"Sit "-i order
"Yes maam "James obliges and sits at the chair in front of me.
"So i have given a long thought to your proposition and i've finally made a decision"-i state ,leaning backwards in my chair.
"And ..."-he drawls the word out .
"And i've decided that i agree "-i answer ,feeling like Lara Jean from "To all the boys i've loved before"
This whole situation gives that movie.
"But i have some terms and conditions"
"Pfttt"-James scoffs
"No one says "terms and conditions" anymore grandma"
"Whatever"-i roll my eyes
"I have some ground rules"
"Alright let's hear them"
"First ,you can't kiss me without giving me some kind of signal you're about to do it"-i start
"Wait ,who said anything about kissing you?"James interrupts.
"Well that's what couples do "
"Woah we're not a couple sweetheart"-James reaches to hold my hand
"You're just my side piece"
I scoff.
"You're so annoying"
"And you're gonna have to tell people that's what you love most about me"
"You're inpossible"i fold the paper i had written and as im about to throw it in the trash bin ,James grabs my wrist.
"Okay ,okay !"
"Im sorry ,continue"
"You can't get to touchy without my premission"-i continue.
"Obviously"
"We respect women in this household"
"Good"-is all i say .
This guy gives me a headache.
"Anything else ?"-he questions
"I couldn't think of anything else"-i answer honestly.
"Well if that's it "-he wraps his hand around mine ,while looking around.
A few people turned to look at us.Oh God.This was a bad idea.
The only peoole i notice are Av and Xander ,who were ordering at the counter ,staring at us from the distance.Oh boy.
James pulls something from his pocket .
It was a polaroid of me from our trip.It was me at the rooftop of thr car ,hands in the air ,my hair all over my face because of the wind.
I grab the picture from his hands
"I didn't know you took this"
"Right ,like you didn't notice the camera on your face"-he rolls his eyes.
"I thought you were taking pictures of the sunset"-i confess,shocked.
"Well ,some things are prettier"- He puts the photo inside an empty space in his wallet.And wih that he stands up ,as i do too and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.
As we pass everyone at the cafe ,Aves grabs my wrist and gives me weird look
I mouth "talk to you later "to her as everyone stares at us leaving the shop.
Oh dear ,why did i agree to this?
