Setting Ourselves Up

"What were you guys doing here anyway?" - Av breaks the silence, as all four of us were walking, me and Av further away from the boys. I turn around, waiting for an answer.

"Uhm.." - i notice James trying to come up with a lie. Huh, didn't think that would be hard for him.

"We came here to buy a perfume for Xander" - he finally says, looking over at Xander who is currently sending him death glares.

"That was a women's store" - i sate, unravelling his lie. My favourite thing to do to be honest.

James sends me a "really?" look and i just shrug.

"Well.. Dearest Jade-i roll my eyes.
" As we all know Xander just smells THAT bad that we had to take things to another level "-he says that so seriously and bluntly that makes me burst out laughing.

" It's true! "-James says through my laughter. I laugh even more. The way he's still trying to go with it is hilarious.

Xander hits his elbow and he groans in pain.

Av is just watching the scene display, smiling.

"God i love you guys" - she states, wiping tears of laughter from the corners of her eyes.

"Aww we love you more Green" - James rubs her hair, messing up her perfectly set up hair.

I get this weird feeling on my stomach. It's probably nothing. Im hungry as hell though, probably that.

"Hey, do you guys wanna go somewhere to eat, im starving" - i ask a little to eagerly.

"Springs don't you know?" - James turns to me, with a smirk.
"You got the best snack standing right here" - he gestures to himself.

Then I'd rather starve "-i respond with a roll of my eyes.

Xander snickers behind me and Av giggles.

" Alright Springs don't get all moody with me, we'll go wherever you want "- James smiles lightly down at me (since he's like a few feet taller) and throws his head back in laughter. My stomach flips.Dimples.No. One dimple, one on his left cheek, only one, no matching pair. One. One goddamn beautiful dimple.

I try to hide my smile but it's impossible. James always had one of those laughs. The contiguous ones. The ones that make you smile back even when you really really don't want to.

He throws an arm around my shoulder and when i try to push it away he doesn't budge. He never does. And im really hungry and also have no money on me. So if i want free food i gotta work for it. And if letting him do this gets me food then so be it. With a sigh i turn - no try - to turn to my left to talk to Av but he pulls me closer to him.

After filling my stomach with food till the point i had to unzip the top of my cargos, we finally left the diner. I actually really liked the diner we ate at. It gave me major Luke's diner from Gilmore girls vibes. And damn me, i love Gilmore girls. I even have a "i ❤️gilmore girls" top that lays with the collection of my other i heart shirts. Yes, yes i do have an obsession with those tops. It's my guilty pleasure okay?

In fact im wearing one right now. And given by the look James gave me when he noticed what it said means it was a bad choice. The top read "i ❤️ hockey players" - yeahhh... A really, really bad choice.

I honestly had planned to give it to Av to wear for the game on Friday but she refused to wear it saying and i quote that it was "too bold". So then she suggested i wear it and when Av sets her mind on something you can't deny her. Especially on her birthday week.
