The night of the inauguration had finally arrived, and Hanni felt both excited and overwhelmed. Danielle had offered to accompany her to the restaurant, knowing Minji would arrive later due to an important business meeting. As the CEO of a multinational oil corporation, Minji's responsibilities seemed endless, but Hanni knew she wouldn't miss such an important evening for her.

"Don't worry, Minji will join us as soon as she can," Danielle reassured her with a warm smile as they stepped out of the car in front of the luxurious restaurant. "In the meantime, I'll keep you company. And besides, I'm sure Haerin won't mind."

Danielle guided Hanni inside the restaurant, an elegant space adorned with glittering chandeliers and offering a breathtaking view of the city skyline. Hanni glanced around, feeling slightly out of place amidst all the opulence, but Danielle seemed completely at ease.

Once they were seated, Haerin, who had been seeing Danielle for a few weeks, joined them. The conversation flowed easily, focusing on the building's inauguration and the progress of their work. However, Hanni couldn't stop glancing at the time, her thoughts drifting to Minji.

When Minji finally arrived, the entire restaurant seemed to pause for a moment. Clad in a tailored black suit and exuding an air of effortless confidence, she turned heads without trying. Approaching the table, she placed a gentle hand on Hanni's shoulder in greeting.

"Sorry I'm late," she said, leaning slightly to meet Hanni's gaze. "Another endless meeting, but I wouldn't have missed this for anything."

The warmth in her voice and the sincerity in her eyes eased some of the tension Hanni had been carrying. "It's okay," she replied softly, trying to hide the relief she felt at seeing her.

Throughout the dinner, Minji proved, as always, to be incredibly attentive to Hanni. She noticed immediately that Hanni seemed hesitant to serve herself from the shared dishes and carefully plated a small portion for her.

"Try this," she said with a gentle smile, placing the plate in front of her. "I think you'll like it."

Hanni flushed slightly, accepting the plate and taking a bite. When Minji poured her a glass of water with the same natural care, Hanni felt an unfamiliar flutter in her chest. Every small gesture seemed so thoughtful, as if Minji instinctively knew how to make her feel at ease.

At one point, noticing that Hanni had stopped eating, Minji leaned closer and asked softly, "Is everything okay? Are you tired?"

"I'm fine," Hanni lied, even though her mind was racing with thoughts she couldn't quite untangle. But the simple fact that Minji had asked with such genuine concern made her feel a little safer.

When the desserts arrived, Minji ensured Hanni got the one she would enjoy most. "I know you like chocolate," she said with a slight smile, gesturing to the rich chocolate cake placed before her. Hanni stared at her, surprised Minji had remembered such a small detail.

After Danielle's toast and several rounds of conversation, the evening finally drew to a close. As usual, Minji took charge, paying the bill without hesitation despite the others' protests.

"Danielle, Haerin, thank you for the company. It's been a wonderful evening," she said, shaking Danielle's hand with the kind of graceful formality that came naturally to her.

When Minji accompanied Hanni to the exit, she opened the door for her with the same elegance she carried throughout the night. But Hanni didn't step into the car right away. She stopped, clutching the jacket Minji had draped over her shoulders earlier.

"Minji," she said finally, breaking the silence. Her tone was uncertain, almost trembling, and Minji immediately turned to face her.

"Yes?"
