The night was deep, the immense sky above them dotted with millions of stars. The ocean, calm as a mirror, reflected the moonlight, creating a play of silvery lights that danced on the water. The yacht was far out at sea, away from the lights of the city, a corner of tranquility suspended in time. The only sound was the gentle rustling of the waves lapping against the hull of the ship and the light breathing of the wind that rose as the hours passed.
Hanni had moved closer to the railing, looking out to sea as if searching for an answer, or maybe just a little calm in all that tumult of thoughts that never stopped chasing each other in her head. Her heart, which once felt so protected behind the walls she had built for herself, was now beating faster than usual. She couldn't ignore it. Every time Minji was near her, there was something that made her feel alive in a way she couldn't explain. Her presence seemed to be a catalyst, something that changed her emotions in a series of internal shocks. But she didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Minji approached slowly, her step silent but determined, and stopped beside her. The darkness made everything more intimate, as if the whole world were far away, while she and Hanni were just the two of them, there, in that secret corner of the sea. Minji looked at her for a moment, and then with a soft smile that never seemed too forced, she leaned against the railing beside her.
"I don't want you to think I'm asking you to answer quickly, Hanni," Minji said, her voice calm but full of sincerity. "But... every time I see you, every time I'm with you, I realize how much I love you. I can't hide it. And I don't want to. I just want you to know."
Hanni held her breath, as if Minji's words were a wave that had hit her full on, sliding under her skin. Hanni's heart began to beat faster, almost in response to the love Minji was offering her without asking for anything in return, without forcing her. It was hard to digest, but somehow, she felt that something inside her was changing.
Minji continued, her eyes filled with a sweetness that seemed to invade every corner of the night: "I realize that it's difficult for you. And I understand that you may feel confused. But I... I'm here, Hanni. Always, if you want. There's no rush. There's nothing that pushes you to choose now."
Minji's words were simple, but full of meaning. Hanni couldn't speak for a moment, as if she needed to assimilate everything. Then, without even realizing it, the words came out of her mouth, faster than she had intended.
"Minji," she began, her voice shaking, "I... I don't know what's happening to me. Every time I'm with you, I feel like my heart is changing. It's like everything I thought I knew about myself is starting to shake. And I don't know if it's right, I don't know if I should feel this way. It's like there's a part of me that wants to run away, but then every time I look at you, I can't."
Minji looked at her, giving her a look that wasn't complacent or judgmental. Just a deep understanding, as if Hanni's words were the natural progression of everything they'd been through. With a delicate gesture, Minji took off her leather jacket and placed it on Hanni's shoulders, hugging her from behind with a warmth that seemed to envelop her in an invisible embrace.
"You don't have to understand everything right away, Hanni," Minji whispered, her breathing mingling with the sound of the waves. "I don't want you to be afraid. I love you just the way you are, even if you don't have all the answers yet. And you don't have to. That's all I need. Just for you to be there for me, just the way you are, without pressure. Without complicated thoughts."
Her tone was so tender, so disarming, that Hanni felt a jolt in her heart. It was as if those words were a rain that slowly melted away the defenses she had built around her heart. Every resistance Hanni tried to maintain seemed to vanish under Minji's touch, under her sweetness. "Minji..." she finally said, her voice softer, almost a whisper. "I don't know if I'm ready... but I don't want to walk away from you. I don't want to run away anymore."
