"Would you like to explain what 'small' means to you?" Hanni asked with a smile as she and Minji sat at the dining table. Minji held a glass of red wine between her fingers, her face showing surprise as she wondered why Hanni would ask such a specific question.
"Small?" Minji repeated, placing the glass on the table. Her fingers moved to her shirt collar, slowly unbuttoning a single button with one hand. She was suffocating under the silent, mischievous smile Hanni wore.
"Small," Hanni reiterated, resting her chin on her hand. Minji raised an eyebrow and responded with a nervous laugh, "Well, an insect is small."
Hanni nodded slightly, closing her eyes for a moment. "Hmm, I see," she said, her fingers tracing the rim of the untouched wineglass in front of her. She ran them along its circumference.
"So," Hanni continued, tilting her head and meeting Minji's eyes, "is a multi-story building considered a small store?" Her gaze pinned Minji, who suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to escape.
It wasn't entirely her fault; she simply loved grand surprises and thought Hanni enjoyed the same. Minji had only wanted to satisfy her entirely. "Well, I... thought you'd like it," Minji admitted, lowering her gaze, clearly tormented.
"It's not that I don't like it," Hanni replied, standing up and moving toward Minji. She rested a hand on Minji's shoulder, her other hand gently cupping her cheek. "You could have been honest instead of playing coy," Hanni teased, kissing Minji's cheek.
"I'm going to bed. Are you coming?" she asked, smiling as she withdrew her hand from Minji's cheek, her touch almost wiping away the blush spreading across it. Hanni's figure moved gracefully toward her bedroom in a flowing nightgown.
Minji grabbed her glass and downed the wine in one gulp. She got up, thanked the server for her excellent service—though she hadn't done much but bring the dishes—and quickly followed Hanni. She grabbed her by the waist and lifted her playfully into her arms, Hanni's laughter echoing down the hallway. Only when the bedroom door clicked shut did the laughter give way to a night of passion.

Hanni stood in her new shop with Danielle, who sat on one of the chairs, watching the workers move cabinets and furniture into the space. Danielle looked utterly bewildered by the entire situation, while Hanni seemed strangely content and calm.
"So?" Danielle asked, turning her head toward Hanni. The woman was standing behind the counter, toying with sheets of paper, lifting and dropping them absentmindedly.
"So what?" Hanni replied, confused by Danielle's strangely blank expression.
Danielle rolled her eyes, smiling faintly. "I'm wondering what you did to make her so happy that she bought you an entire building," Danielle said, shrugging.
Hanni smirked, sitting next to Danielle and placing a hand on her shoulder. "She likes me so much, she'd buy me the whole world if it were up for sale," Hanni replied smugly.
Danielle shook her head, clearly skeptical but knowing full well Minji was capable of such grand gestures. "Hmm... but I wonder if you feel the same way," she countered, eyeing her friend.
Hanni pursed her lips and scratched the back of her neck nervously. "I'm reevaluating things... she's a great person, truly incredible. But you have to understand—I don't feel anything for her beyond physical attraction. Love doesn't come to mind when I think of her," Hanni admitted honestly.
Danielle nodded thoughtfully, though her expression suggested she wasn't entirely satisfied. Hanni sought her friend's gaze, but Danielle looked disheartened by her answer. Danielle fidgeted with a bracelet Haerin had given her, one of the few tangible reminders of their growing bond.
