The party was already in full swing when Minji and Hyein stepped into the venue. Lights flickered in rhythmic patterns, laughter filled the room, and the faint thrum of music set the ambiance. Minji adjusted her jacket as her eyes roamed the crowd, while Hyein trailed behind, muttering something under her breath.

Not a second later, Haerin approached them, holding a glass of champagne. "Took you long enough," she said, her tone calm but her eyebrow quirked in judgment. "What were you doing?"

Hyein didn't miss a beat. She turned to Haerin with a dramatic huff. "Oh, don't even get me started. Minji decided we had time for her to hook up with Hanni before we came here."

Minji's jaw dropped, and she whipped around to face Hyein. "Excuse me? That's a wild exaggeration! We didn't hook up!"

Haerin tilted her head, giving Minji a pointed look. "You're really gonna stand here and act innocent? Because we all know Hanni was the reason you were late to get ready."

Minji raised her hands in defense, her cheeks reddening. "Okay, there was... something. But it wasn't what you're thinking."

Hyein crossed her arms, her expression unimpressed. "Oh, sure. Let me guess—you were just sitting there, politely discussing the weather while your lips accidentally collided for thirty minutes?"

Minji groaned. "It wasn't like that! Why are you both ganging up on me?"

Haerin shrugged, taking a sip of her drink. "Because it's entertaining," she said nonchalantly.

Minji glared at her. "Traitor."

Hyein smirked. "Stop deflecting, Minji. Admit it—you were too busy making out to keep track of time."

Minji sighed dramatically. "Fine. There was a moment but we didn't do it, okay? Happy now?"

Haerin gave her a slow clap. "Finally, some honesty."

Hyein, however, wasn't letting up. She squinted at Minji, her expression a mix of judgment and amusement. "So, what, is this a thing now? Or are you just collecting make-out sessions with her for fun?"

Minji scoffed. "What's with the interrogation? Are you jealous or something?"

Hyein rolled her eyes. "Of you? Absolutely not."

Minji's smirk turned mischievous. "Oh, come on. You've been kind of bitter the last days. If you want, I can set you up with this guy from my last drama—"

Hyein groaned, cutting her off. "Hard pass."

Minji leaned in closer, grinning. "Seriously, though. It's kind of incredible that with that face, you're still single."

Haerin snickered, but Hyein's expression darkened. She crossed her arms and shot back, "I'd rather have quality over quantity, Minji."

Minji feigned offense, but her teasing tone didn't falter. "I think what you really need is sex. Maybe that's why you're always so uptight."

Before Hyein could respond, Haerin smacked Minji lightly on the arm. "Minji, enough," she said, half scolding.

Hyein's jaw tightened, and her tone turned sharp. "What the hell is wrong with you? You're such an idiot."

Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked away, heading toward a group of friends on the other side of the room.

Minji stood frozen, her mouth slightly open in confusion. She looked to Haerin for clarification. "What just happened? We're always joking around like that. Did I cross a line?"
