The moment Minji stepped foot in Incheon International Airport, she was greeted by a wave of chaos.
The flashing lights of cameras, the deafening calls of reporters, and the excited screams of fans filled the air. It was overwhelming, but Minji had prepared herself for this.
Or at least, she thought she had.
Security tried to clear a path, but the reporters were relentless. Microphones were shoved toward her, each question hitting her from all directions.
—Minji-ssi, how do you feel about your relationship with Hanni being revealed?
—Were you pressured by Dispatch to go public?
—Fans are supporting you, but what about the industry? Do you think this will affect your career?
Minji kept walking, maintaining a composed expression, offering polite but vague nods. She wasn't about to let them rattle her.
But then—one voice cut through the noise like a knife.
—Minji-ssi, do you think dating someone like Hanni, who built her career off a fake innocent image, will damage your reputation? After all, it's obvious she used your relationship to sell her music.
The world seemed to stop.
Minji froze mid-step.
The crowd went silent. Even the other reporters looked at the man like he had just signed his own death sentence.
Slowly, Minji turned to him.
"I'm sorry. Can you repeat that?" Her voice was calm. Too calm.
The reporter smirked, thinking he had her cornered, "I said, don't you think it's suspicious that Hanni hid your relationship for two years, then suddenly made it public right when her album was about to drop? It's almost like she's using you."
Minji stared at him for a second before letting out a quiet, almost amused scoff. "Wow."
The reporter blinked, caught off guard.
Minji tilted her head slightly, her expression unreadable.
"You know, I could sit here and explain to you what real love is. I could tell you how love isn't something calculated or used for profit, but something genuine, something that happens naturally."
She took a step closer, eyes locked onto his. "But it's painfully obvious you wouldn't get it." The air around them grew tense, "Because let's be real—who would love a manipulative, bitter bitch like you?"
The crowd (all the fans) erupted.
—"OH SHIT!"
—"SHE JUST ENDED THIS MAN!"
—"APOLOGIZE TO HANNI RIGHT NOW!"
Minji wasn't done, "Next time, before you open your mouth to say something about my girlfriend, think twice."
She leaned in slightly, her voice dropping just enough to send a chill down his spine. "Because trust me, the only thing suspicious here is how you are NOT going to keep your job after opening your filthy mouth."
The backlash was instant.
Within seconds, Twitter exploded. #ApologizeToHanni trended worldwide. Reporters were already whispering among themselves, some even backing away.
The man—now visibly sweating—mumbled something about being "misunderstood" before quickly disappearing into the crowd.
Minji didn't even spare him another glance.
