Minji's fingers lazily combed through Hanni's hair, her touch light and careful as if afraid to wake her. Hanni had finally fallen asleep after hours—probably days because of the tour as well—of pushing through exhaustion just to stay by Minji's side. Minji knew Hanni wouldn't have let herself rest if she was awake.

She felt a twinge of guilt. Hanni had been through so much because of this.

Minji sighed, letting her fingers thread through the soft strands again. Hanni stirred slightly, her face scrunching up before settling again. Minji smiled. Cute.

The sound of the hospital door opening barely pulled Minji's attention away, but when she saw Jennie step in, she lifted her head slightly.

Jennie stopped at the sight in front of her, a smirk playing on her lips. "Wow. Look at you, all cozy."

Minji rolled her eyes but didn't stop stroking Hanni's hair. "Morning to you too, unnie."

Jennie walked closer, observing Minji with a more serious gaze. "How are you feeling?"

Minji stretched her free arm a little and winced. "Better. It doesn't hurt too much anymore."

Jennie narrowed her eyes. "That better not be a lie."

Minji chuckled but didn't respond. Instead, her eyes drifted back down to Hanni, who was still deep in sleep. Jennie followed her gaze and shook her head in amusement.

"You're so smitten," Jennie teased, crossing her arms.

Minji didn't even bother denying it. "I don't care."

Jennie laughed, shaking her head. "Yeah, yeah. You two are disgustingly sweet."

Minji only hummed, still gently playing with Hanni's hair. "Any updates?"

Jennie sighed and took a seat on the couch nearby. "Yeah. The police aren't letting that girl go. They're building a solid case against her, and honestly, with all the evidence, she won't be out anytime soon."

Minji exhaled in relief. "Good."

"And security around you has been increased. Plus," Jennie added with a smirk, "I already changed the passcode to a decent one."

Minji chuckled at that, shaking her head. "You're not gonna scold me for keeping a dumb one before?"

Jennie gave her a pointed look. "I don't need to. You already got enough of a reality check from that crazy bitch."

Minji winced. "Fair."

Jennie leaned back in her seat, watching as Minji continued to absentmindedly stroke Hanni's hair. Her expression softened.

"She really didn't leave your side, huh?"

Minji's lips twitched into a small smile. "Not even for a second."

Jennie smirked. "Smitten idiots, both of you." Minji only chuckled.

Hanni stirred awake, her body heavy with exhaustion. It took her a second to remember where she was, but the warmth of the hand in hers anchored her immediately. She blinked a few times, her vision adjusting to the dim hospital lighting, and the first thing she saw was Minji, already awake and looking at her.

"How are you feeling?" Hanni mumbled, her voice thick with sleep.

Minji gave her a small smile. "Better."

Before Hanni could say anything else, Jennie's voice cut in from the chair beside Minji's bed. "You look like a lovesick puppy."

Hanni ignored her, her attention fixed on Minji. "You sure? Nothing hurts?"
