Minji froze as the reality of the situation hit her all at once.

The girl standing in front of her wasn't just another obsessed fan—she was unhinged.

The sasaeng stared at her, eyes gleaming with something twisted. She wasn't screaming. She looked calm—too calm. That was what made Minji's stomach twist in real fear.

Minji had met obsessive fans before, dealt with awkward interactions, even unsettling ones. But this...

This was dangerous.

The sasaeng took a step closer, her fingers clenching around the knife she was holding now. Minji's muscles tensed.

"If you scream," the girl murmured, tilting her head, "I'll make this worse."

Minji didn't move. Her brain was working too fast and too slow at the same time.

She had to keep her talking. Keep her distracted.

"...What do you want?" Minji's voice came out steady, even though her heart was slamming against her ribs.

The girl smiled, and it sent a cold chill down Minji's spine. "I just want things to go back to how they were."

Minji narrowed her eyes. "What are you talking about?"

"You were perfect," she said, almost dreamily. "Before her."

Minji felt her stomach drop.

"I watched you for so long. I supported you before anyone else." The girl's voice was soft, but there was venom in it. "You were mine."

Minji swallowed. "I was never yours."

The girl's jaw clenched.

"You were never like this," she hissed. "You used to be untouchable. A goddess. And then she happened."

Minji didn't need to ask who she meant.

"I love her," Minji said simply.

The sasaeng laughed—a harsh, bitter sound. "No, you don't. She's ruining you. You're weaker. Softer. You're throwing yourself away for her."

Minji's fists clenched. She wasn't scared anymore—she was furious.

"You don't know what love is." Her voice was sharp. "Because if you did, you wouldn't be here trying to hurt me because I love someone."

The girl's eye twitched.

"You're blinded," she spat. "She's making you forget who you are! She's turning you into something disgusting! And if I can't have you, no one can."

She lunged.

Minji reacted a second too late.

Pain exploded through her side as the blade sliced through fabric and skin.

She stumbled back, gasping.

The girl was breathing heavily, watching Minji clutch her side with sick satisfaction.

Minji's mind was spinning. She could feel warm blood seeping through her fingers. The pain was sharp, but she gritted her teeth, refusing to fall.

She had to stay standing.

For her family.

For Hanni.

For her friends.

For herself.

The girl took another step forward, knife still raised.

But before she could do anything—

Hell broke loose.
