Chapter 17

Lily's POV

'3 weeks later'

"Gabe I've been out of the hospital for almost a week now. Can I please go to school on Thursday. I need to graduate." I begged Gabe.

"Ugh fine. But you're going to stay by my side all day. And for the classes we don't habe together, I'm keeping Louis amd Brennen by you." He said.

"Okay dad." I said sarcastically.

He came up and wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I just want you to be safe." He said smiling at me.

"Well as long as I'm with you, I will be safe." I said smiling back up at him.

He pecked my lips before going to the bathroom.

I haven't sang for a while. I actually haven't sang since I met Gabe. Maybe while he's in the bathroom I can sing a little bit.

I plugged my phone into the stereo and began singing a karaoke version of my favorte song.

Put your makeup on. Get your nails done. Curl your hair. Run the extra mile. Keep it slim so they like you. Do you like you?

Get your sexy on. Don't be shy, girl. Take it off. This is what you want, to belong so they like you. Do you like you?

You don't have to try so hard. You don't have to, give it all away. You just have to get up, get up, get up, up. You don't have to change a single thing.

"Wow." Gabe said.

"Did you hear all of that?" I asked nervously.

"All of it. Lily! That was amazing!" He said coming up and hugging me.

I shrugged my shoulders and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Lily." Gabe said.

"Yeah?" I said looking up at him.

"It's Friday night. And I have an idea." He said.

"If you're suggesting going to a party, the answer is no." I said.

"No no no. I don't even like going to parties. But I have a good idea that I know you'll love." He said.

"And what's that?" I asked.

"It's a surprise." He said.

"Ugh Gabe. I hate surprises."

"But I know you'll love this one." He said.

"Fine." I agreed.

"Yes! Okay grab your swimsuit and extra clothes!" He said jumping up and grabbing his stuff.

I grabbed my stuff confused and then we got in his car and began driving.

We kept driving until we got to a lake. Gabe got out, opened his trunk and came to my side of the car.

When I got out,  I saw the trunk and smiled. Gabe set out pillows and blankets in his trunk.

"Awe Gabe!" I said smiling at him.

"See. I knew you would love it." Gabe said picking  me up and setting me in the trunk and he sat next to me.

"Wow." He said.

I looked up at him and he smiled at me.

"I can't decide which is more beautiful. The moon reflecting on the water, or you." He said making me blush.

"Wait yes I can choose. You're more beautiful." He said smiling.

I pecked his cheek and bit my lip.

"Wanna go swimming?" He asked.

"I would love to." I giggled before grabbing my bag and getting into my swimsuit.

When I walked out to see Gabe. I looked at his abs and bit my lip.

I looked up at Gabe and saw him looking at my body. I covered my stomach with my arms and Gabe looked at me with an 'are you serious?' Look

He moved my arms and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead.

He walked into the water and it was freezing. I gasped and Gabe wrapped his arms around me and told me it will be okay.

We got further in the water and it started to warm up. I decided to splash Gabe by surprise.

"Hey!" He said as I giggled and swam away.

He soon grabbed me by the waist and spun me around getting water all over me.

We both laughed way too much. When our laughter died down, we looked each other in the eyes and I smiled before biting my lip.

Gabe had me wrap my legs around his waist as I wrapped my arms around his neck and he set his hands on my waist.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." He said.

I slightly blushed before looking down. I then felt two fingers lift my head up by my chin and a pair of lips crash onto mine.

Our lips moved in sync and the kiss was passionate. He pulled away before looking me in the eyes and then crashed his lips onto mine again.

I tangled my fingers in his hair before we both pulled away. I smiled at him before resting my head on his shoulder.

"I can tell you're tired, let's go to sleep." He whispered.

I nodded and then we walked out of the water and changed into our extra clothes. We laid down in his trunk, pulled the blanket up around us and Gabe wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"Good night." He said before kissing my neck sending chills down my back.

"Good night." I whispered.

Tonight was amazing.
