Chapter 36

Lily's POV

"Gabe I don't wanna go to court." I said.

"And have your parents move back in next door and let you get hurt. I don't think so." He said.

I haven't focused on anything the past few days. I mean I go to court in a few days and I'm not excited.

"Just remember, I'll be in the court room with you the whole time." He said grabbing my hand between his.

I smiled before he pulled me into a hug.

"I'm just so nervous." I said.

He broke the hug and set his hands in my shoulders and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"Don't be. We have all the proof we need. Your parents had no proof at all." He said.

I nodded my head before he pecked my cheek.

"Come on. I wanna show you something." He said before grabbing my hand and leading me outside into the cold Winter weather.

"Oh my god Gabe it's freezing." I said before hugging him to keep warm.

He chuckled before we kept walking until we got to a car.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Remember when we planned about going to California after graduation?" He asked.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Well I realized the Cali was too far of a drive. I mean it's forever away." He said over exaggerating his arms.

I giggled before he grabbed my hands and smiled at me.

"Well I was thinking about going to New York instead." He said.

"Oh my god yes!" I yelled before hugging him.

When we broke the hug I could not stop talking.

"I've always wanted to go to New York. It's so gorgeous there. It's state where my dad was born. Juilliard." I said dazing off thinking about Juilliard.

Gabe chuckled before he picked me up bridal style and brought me into the house.

"Well thank you kid sir." I said.

"No problem my lady." He said.

"Wait, you never explained the car." I said confused.

"Oh that's just my car. I just wanted to show you that." He said.

I rolled my eyes playfully before we decided to watch tv for a little bit.

By the time it was five o'clock, I decided to make dinner.

"What do you want for dinner?" I asked Gabe.

"I don't care." He said.

I glared at him before I got up and decided to just make Mac and cheese. While I was making dinner, Gabe came up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and set his chin in the crook of my neck.

Then he started kissing my neck.

"W-what are you doing?" I stuttered.

He then reached my sweet spot causing me to bite my lip. I felt him smile into my neck when he saw me do that.

We then heard the front door open and Gabe hurried and sat on the counter top.

"Hey guys!" Mrs. Conte said before setting her keys on the counter and hanging her coat on the coat rack.

"Hi Mrs. Conte." I smiled.

When I looked over at Gabe, he was looking down at his hands.

"What are you guys up to?" She asked.

"Just making some dinner. I can make extra if you'd like." I suggested.

"Oh no thank you sweetheart. I had a pretty big lunch at work today so I'm okay." She said smiling.

I nodded before she walked upstairs and when I heard her bedroom door shut, I walked up to Gabe and set my hands on his face and brought his face up to mine.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"For what?" I asked a little confused.

"Pulling that stunt." He said scratching his neck.

"It's okay. I liked it." I said smiling.

He then smiled before crashing his lips onto mine and our lips moved in sync before we were interrupted by two things.

"AHHHHH!" A voice said.

We looked over and saw Nico. We then busted out laughing. Nico laughed before he walked into the living room.

"Lily." Gabe said before pointing to the dinner.

"Oh shit!" I said before trying to clean up the mess it made.

After I cleaned up, the macaroni noodles looked all weird so I decided to give up on dinner and call Pizza Hut.

While we were waiting for the pizza to arrive, me and Gabe sat in our room and just talked.

After a while of talking, he then asked me a question.

"So you liked when I pulled that stunt?" He asked.

"Why are you stressing so much about it Gabe? I liked it." I said before planting a kiss on his cheek.

"I just feel like you didn't." He said.

Finally I crashed my lips on his before wrapping my legs around his waist and tangling my fingers in his hair.

He then broke the kiss and looked at me.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Trying to shut you up and to stop you from stressing out over such a small thing." I said before crashing my lips on his again.

After a minute or two, we broke the kiss and then the doorbell rang.

We ran downstairs to get the pizza and then we just sat in our room and watched tv and ate pizza. And of course we saved a piece for Nico and Sofia.

More like a piece for each of them.
