Chapter 51

Lily's POV

"I don't wanna go through this again." I said feeling the tears form in my eyes.

Gabe must have saw the tears forming and came over to me and gave me a tight hug.

"You'll be okay. I promise." He whispered.

I shook my head and but my lip.

"What?" Gabe asked.

"I really don't want to go through this." I said.

He sighed before grabbing my hand and kissing it gently.

"If you don't go through with this then you would only have six months to live." Gabe explained.

I closed my eyes and just thought.

The procedure is an almost 9 hour procedure. There will be 3 doctors working on me. But if one of those three doctors work out, my life could over within six months.

"Lily? Are you okay?" Gabe asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Just thinking." I said turning my head towards him.

"Don't over think it okay? I don't want you stressing yourself out before the procedure." He said.

I nodded my head gently before taking a deep breath. Then out of nowhere, I felt a pair of lips on mine. But I didn't mind.

Gabe then pulled away and I bit my lip before the doctor came in.

"Hello Ms. Jacobson. Mr. Conte." He said.

Gabe waved and I just sat patiently waiting for the doctor to hurry up and get me into surgery.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked.

"Shitty." I said.

He chuckled before a nurse came in and unhooked my IV before having me get onto a stretcher.

I grabbed Gabe's hand nervously before  he stood up and followed me into the surgery room.

"Sir you came be in there." The nurse said.

"No please. Let him come in." I begged.

"Ms. Jacobson I'm sorry but we can't let hi-"

"Then I'm not going through with the procedure." I said before getting off the stretcher.

The doctor, nurse, and Gabe all looked at me nervously.

"Lily what are you doing?" Gabe asked while standing in front of me.

"I need you in there Gabe. Please I can't go through another procedure without you near me." I said grabbing his arm.

"Lily you know I can't be in the-"

"Gabe please." I begged.

He sighed before looking me in the eyes.

"Only if it's okay with the doctors." I smiled before pressing my lips against his.

"Please let him go in." I said calmly.

"Ms. Jacobson we're sorry but we can't have him in the room while the procedure is happening." The do cite said.

"But pl-"

"Lily. It'll be okay." Gabe said setting his arm on the small of my back.

I looked at him with tear filled eyes.

"You'll be okay." He said.

I furrowed my eyebrows before getting on the stretcher and we went into the surgery room.

Gabe's POV

I walked out to the lobby and saw everyone waiting for me.

"Is she going into surgery?" Mom asked.

"Yeah." I said with a confused face.

"What's wrong?" Louis asked.

"I think she's mad at me." I said.

"Why?" Sofia asked.

"She gave me a dirty look before she went into the surgery room because I couldn't go into the room with her." I said.

They nodded before I sat down and set my face in my hands.

Please let this be the last time she's in this hospital for a while.
